Naperville Newbie - Need a Resonable Pre-school for 3Y/o Son

We have finally decided on a home in Naperville, and I am overwhelmed by the amount of preschools available. I am looking for personal endorsements or not of a half-day preschool, and will consider Christian affiliated preschools. One problem I am running into is the desire for my son to be fully potty trained. He is a young 3, not turning until the end of August, and we are having trouble going number 2 on the potty. I do need a little more flexibilty with that issue. Also, I prefer a smaller class size for him based on observations in his class last year. Thanks for your input, and I look forward to reading your responses.

So What Happened?

Thanks to all of those who responded to my request. We went with Calvary Children's Center on RT 59. It is a small program that has been around for many years. I was able to meet personally with the director, and my son's teacher has been at the school for 10 plus years also. I think there are probably more intense programs out there, but this seems like a great fit for us. I would encourage others to check it out.

Check out FasTrackKids on 103rd and 59. They just started a preschool this year, but have had classes for young children for a long time. They do not require potty training for all their classes and will have something that will fit your son. They have from once/week 45 minutes to all week half day. The number is ###-###-####. And I'm "Ben's mom" if they ask who referred you. I'm pretty sure that's my first name now.

I was just discussing this w/ my mom's group (my son is 26mo.). One mom researched a bunch of schools & decided on Kensington on 75th near Book. I will definitely look into that for my son. That's the only one where I've heard such a rave review about it.

My son will be starting a 2-day, 3y/o program at Hobson Cooperative near Naper Blvd. and Hobson Rd. next month. I received several personal recommendations including one from our pediatrician when researching the different schools in the area.
Although the morning class is full, I believe there is still space in the afternoon class which goes from 12:30-3:00 on Thursdays and Fridays. As far as I know there are 12 kids enrolled in the afternoon class and because its a cooperative preschool there is one teacher and 1-2 parents who assist the teacher per class.
My son is not fully potty trained yet, so I was sure to ask about that and no, they do not require the children to be potty trained. Also, tuition is $160/month.
I would be happy to supply you with any additional information including references from parents with one or more children who are or who have attended Hobson. Good luck in your search.
