Hi S.
I'm glad you're going to find a doctor that is more in line with your personal beliefs. I can tell that you have really researched what immunizations are all about.
I asked my doctor recently about mercury too. He told me that mercury is still in some vaccinations, but not in any of the ones that are in our office. Is it possible that's what your doc meant?
I think doctors really want to do what's best for all children, and vaccinations are the safest chance for that. Definitely, you should do what you feel is right for your family, and if abbreviated vaccinations or no vaccinations are what you feel is right, then that's good.
I just really encourage you, in a sincere way, to investigate some of the epidemics that are beginning to resurface because of fewer kids in the US having been vaccinated. Here's a link from the CDC about recent measles outbreaks:

And here is one about a pertussis outbreak as recent as April of this year (here in Texas):

Clearly you are a smart and educated woman. I just want to say that getting vaccines is not only good for the health of your kids, but good for the health of other people as well (like those who are too young to be vaccinated, or those whose vaccines have worn off, those who are highly susceptible to infection such as the elderly, or those with compromised immune systems such as people going through chemotherapy treatment).
My intent is only to maybe give you another perspective to think about. I can tell that you care a lot about your family. I hope I haven't offended you but maybe given you something to consider.
