Does anyone know of stores in the DFW area that specialize in more natural parenting products? Things like cloth diapers, slings, organic stuff, toys that don't require batteries.

Hi, this is a site that lists some local businesses that focus on natural parenting.

Also, Ross and Marshalls often have really neat wooden toys that are reasonably priced. Good luck!

Babies Bottoms and More in downtown Plano is great for what you are looking for. Diana is the owner.

Yes!
Green living has organic everything. I also heard that whole foods on Forest has an organic baby dept. I am going to go there soon.
Other good resources are : ecobaby.com - I got his mattress there (the ones you buy in stores are plastic and loaded with chemical fire retardants) I also get his organic sleep wear there (traditiional also has chemical fire retardants) babyinabag.com has sleep sacks, they are not made of organic cotton, but they are European and do not have the fire retardants..Seems this chemical is banned everywhere except the US! (go figure) I get his bottles from bornfree.com this is plastic made without hormone disrupting chemicals. (I also use evenflow glass bottles at babies r us) and LASTLY....I have found a place where you can order the MMR immuniztion "split up" (this is questionably linked to autism) Feel free to email me at ____@____.com son is now 8 mos and I would love to correspond with another like minded mom!

I don't recommend Babies Bottoms and More.

For cloth diapers, I recommend www.breesbums.com She is online, but she will meet you to show you stuff and she also holds classes. If you're in the Allen area, you can look at and purchase items of her's at the Allen Birthing Center.

She doesn't have toys, but she's got cloth dipes and slings.

A bonus to using Bree is that everything she sells she has used and approved. She is actually a mom.
