Hi Moms,

I am looking for a line of prodcuts that does not contain parabens or phthalates, along with the rest of the usual harmful suspects that many products contain. I have been using Alba, but the moisturizer is leaving my skin quite oily lately and prone to break-outs. So, if any of you knows of a great product line that has everything from face and body wash to make up and moisturizers, please let me know. The impetus for this is I am newly pregnant with our thrid little blessing.

Thanks! R.

My face is sensitive to break-outs, but I've found the following products to work great: I like Aveda for their make-up. I especially recommend their Moisture-Tint - a combination light foundation/moisturizer. For soap I like Kiss My Face olive oil soap and Trader Joe's for their Tea Tree Oil Body Wash. My whole family uses Nature's Gate Fragrance-Free lotion - it even cleared up my son's eczema!

I have a FABULOUS skincare program for you that is very affordable. It's natural, packed with vitamins and will reverse aging. I'm not kidding. I'm probably twice your age and it leaves my skin like silk.

Contact me if I can help:

I agree with the Shaklee but I also just had a conversation with my sister this morning about natural skin care. She went to a green expo this weekend and bought a soap from She said the 2 woman who ran the booth had beautiful, flawless skin and looked 20 years younger than they actually were. I am sure some of it may be genes but I am willing to try anything to see if it works.

Hi R.! I was an Alba user too! I used to love brands like Aveda and Kiss My Face, Natures Gate, Weleda, etc.....but after reading how toxic they actually are on www.cosmeticsdatabase.com I was absolutely horrified.

I hate, and I do mean HATE multi level marketing companies, so this actually galls me to recommend this......but I have fallen in love with Arbonne. I mean, I am crazy about the stuff. I buy it from my MIL. It is safe (alot of their products have been updated and ALL are paraben and petroleum free) and my skin looks amazing. My hair looks so fantastic after using the shampoo and cond. that people constantly ask me who my stylist is and which products I buy. I don't even use any "product" in my hair anymore.

So........I don't sell Arbonne, but I am sure glad that I found it. If you find a consultant in your area, ask for some samples. The sample packet lasts a good long time, so you can really see if you like it before you buy.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

OOPS! I forgot to recommend my FAVORITE body lotion. Hugo Naturals is amazing! I buy it at www.vitacost.com . I have the Shea Butter and Oatmeal lotion right now, but their grapefruit lotion is also great. It scores very low on the cosmetics database website, so it would be perfectly safe for a pregnant gal! :)

R.,
I am also a Shaklee distributor and agree with Patty. You won't find anything nearly as great. People always guess my age 10-15 years younger than I am. That was not the case before I started using it.
After using the skincare line for a while, I don't even bother with foundation anymore. I'm 55 btw.
Their makeup is great also, but they are discontinuing it. Most of it is still available for awhile. Like me, most people don't need makeup after using the skincare for a while.

Online is www.Bewellstaywell.com and a Store called BareEscentials. If you do not have a BareEscentials near you because they are limited then you can go online. I have terrible chemical allergies and Bewell is all natural and all the eye shadows and face powders and eye and face primer are all natural...I have had great success and buy my makeup through both.
