Ok, I'm reallly good at keeping my house clean and I also clean other people's houses 2 days a week, but I have a problem with scheduling. I usually get up at 8:30 with the kids M-W and on Th/Fri I clean the houses. On my days with the kids I do facebook and veg in the morning until around 11am and then I get them dressed, feed them lunch and put the little one to nap at 1:30. Then I find myself cleaning and/or working outside the rest of the day. My hubby gets home at 7:30. I want to start working out again and really making my time efficient during the day with finding time to sit down with my 2 year old to do a craft, some playdoh or a puzzle. We are good about reading together before bed, but beyond that, I feel so bummy lately. I want to be "super mom" lol. I really need some better time management. Can someone give me a schedule?? My kids are almost 3 and 9 and they go to bed at 9pm.

What can I do next?

I work PT too and have a teenager to wake up and get off to school; personally I find that an early morning work out is best for me. Do you have a treadmill or an area where you can walk or jog in the morning around your house rather than go to a gym? I am up between 6 and 6:30 in the summer and at 5:30 during the school yr so I can work out, shower and get my daughter to school b4 heading to work. In the summers if you even get up by 7:15 you'd have plenty of time for a 30-45 minute work out. Consider too when your husband leaves for work so you are bk home from you work out by then and dont leave the kids alone sleeping. It sounds early, but it starts my day off on a good note and I am fully energized for the day and work when I am up earlier. I find it to be a very peaceful and tranquil time especially to exercise outdoors at that time. Give it a try for a few days and see what you think.

I do my workouts at home - sometimes just aerobics/dancing and the kids even join me (I let them basically do their own thing, but they love dancing and running around me) - I feel that i'm a good role-model for them in this way. Also, I have a little eliptical machine, so when I do that, I just set them up with some puzzles/blocks, etc. and then we keep each other company when I excercise. BTW, not for me to judge, but personally, I find that staying away from Facebook, as much as possible, really can free up a lot of time for you to be a good mommy and exercise that "bumminess" away!

First of all, don't beat yourself up. We all want to be Super Mom.

I WISH I was as good as keeping my house together as you are. I try so hard but there is just so much time in the day.

I work from home and most of the time hubby is here working as well..... Meaning no noisemaking housecleaning when on conference calls, making sure dogs are not barking, and staying on schedule for daughter's activities. We run our own company. I tend go get busy on the laptop with Quickbooks, daily reports, etc and BAM, 2 hrs went by. Then I realize I haven't showered, YIKES and it is 8:30am already. Of course, I do check Mamapedia and FB,

I'm also taxi driver for daughter to and from her activities and for 3 weeks (only 7 days left YEAH) summer school because she wanted to get rid of health in summer since it is so easy and not use a whole semester with it. SO, we leave at 7:30am, I get home about 8:30am and before you know it, I have to leave by 12:45 to get in a line at 1 to pick her up when she gets out at 1:30. Today we were rushing from summer school to get home, grab a bite, dress and go to a photo shoot for an hour in the TX heat. I STILL have not finished what I started this am on the house but my company books/records look darn good. I am great at keeping all the paperwork, organization of the company and family business but I feel like a failure at keeping my house ready for model inspection like I would LOVE to do.

I don't go the gym to workout, although I have a membership, I do walk a lot, because I have 3 dogs that I adore and they need to play and walk. I walk to clear my head and it helps me exercise.

I am very efficient when it come to running the business and being President of the cheer boosters in prime fundraising season but I find that my house starts lacking. When my house jobs start lacking, I start feeling like a loser and wonder how the Super Moms do it.

SO...you are not alone. I will read your responses with interest to see what kind of things I can do to be more efficient!!

My schedule is a little tighter, and finding the time to work-out has become more difficult.

Up at 6:15, out of the house by 7:30 for work. Home at 5:30-5:45, make dinner, clean-up, laundry, yard work, kids' in bath between 8-8:30,a nd hopefully to bed by 10 (yes, I know this is late), but they are night owls.

Both my husband and I are full-time working parents, our kids are young, we have no family near by, and we were able to squeeze training for a 1/2 marathon (each) from scratch.

It takes cooperation, motivation and a little sacrifice.

Looking at your schedule, I'd take advantage of your kids' ages and take them out on walks or bike rides. Have dance parties with them during the day when you're otherwise on Facebook or watching some TV. Have your husband help in the evenings so you can walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes or put a workout DVD in. Or, if you can swing it, get a Wii and do it all together.

I personally hate working out. But, I need to. My mom has type 2 diabetes which makes me predisposed. As a cancer survivor, I made a promise to myself that I'd take care of me when I finished treatment. It's hard, but the time is there if you're willing to make small adjustments and sacrifices.

Good luck.

I dont have a schedule and it sounds like you have it going okay, we all at times just feel like we are not doing our best: hell it sounds like you get wayyy more done than me LOL. here is what I do: my DD (19 mo) wakes up around 9 I get up w/ her, nurse, eat breakfast together, I shower while she plays w/ some toys in the bathroom on the floor (fastest shower ever), then we go to a playdate or whatever we have booked (almost daily...almost). I bring lunch to the playdate she eats there, come home just in time for me to nurse/nap her and she sleep for 1 1/2 hrs then i get to eat lunch myself and use the computer watch tv and maybe clean a bit. After nap we eat again, do free play in or outside, then do a craft maybe if she is up to it, read books stuff like that. Then I cook dinner while trying to play w/ her, read, nurse and give her a snack (dinner time is the worst bc she begs for my attention while I cook for whatever reason: juggle time) then dad gets home (630) and we eat. I clean up and he does bath so I can clean more and pack the diaper bag for the next days playdate. (I do run a moms group so like I said we have a lot of playdates). then either he plays w/ her or I play w/ her until nap, totally relaxed free play, while the other parent is still cleaning up. I only use one day a week where we do not do playdates and I do laundry all day: while playing of course. Then around 830 I read, rock, nurse her and he puts her to sleep from there while I go back online or watch tv whatever.........I need to change this too as I am going to add workouts soon. Oh and once a mo. we do a deep clean of the house otherwise than that it is just a reg pick up so it does not take too much time.

I would suggest getting up an hour early to get your workouts in. it's the easiest way to get it done uninterrupted. And workout at home.

I've been working out at home for 10yrs. I'm actually the opposite of most folks, where, if I HAVE to go to a gym, I'll never do it. I prefer to roll out of bed and get starteed groggily. By the time I wake up, I'm 1/2 way done! :)

I get up daily at either 4:30 or 5, depending on which office I'm working out of (I work FT). It sucks, but I get it done and feel great about myself as a result.

So, that's my suggestion. Then you don't have to shuffle the rest of your day around. Feel free to PM me if you're looking for good home workout instructors (if you prefer videos). I'm happy to make suggesitons.
