Need a Part Time Daycare

I am looking for a day care for my daughter, 13 months, on a part time basis in the Naperville area. I'm looking at 2 days a week, for approximately 3-4 hours a day. We just moved from Florida where she was in "school" full time, but with the relocation, I am not working, and we do not need full time care. She really enjoys other kids and I want her to have that continued socialization that she craves. Plus, let's be honest, I need a break sometimes, too! I am not opposed to in home daycare, but if this is the case, I would prefer someone who is licensed by the state.

I'm hoping you all can help! We're doing our best to get adjusted to the new neighborhood, but EVERYTHING is so different from where we are moving from!

Thanks for you help.

Welcome to Naperville. Both my kids went to The Compass School, not sure where you are located, but they now have two locations, on at Hobson and Naper (Director is Kathy) and the new one at 95th and Rte 59 (Director is Erica).

We had a great experience there and the kids loved it. Please feel free to send me a message if you want more details.

Good luck!

Hi D.,

Welcome to Naperville-you didn't by any chance move into the maplebrook subdivision(I ask because a family moved in up the street w/FL plates:)). You might want to check out Kidz Drop. It is a new daycare that opened up near downtown that has drop in daycare. So you can use it as much or as little as you like.

Little Blessings Preschool (part of Alleluia Church) has "Parents Day Out" which I think is around 4 hours and you can pay for as little as one day/week up to five days/week.

Hi D.,
This answer comes mainly from my experience as owner/director of a home-based business offering school and child care info, both online (www.metroprofiles.com) and in print (Child Care Connections).
Many (but not all) child care centers offer part-time options. With a few exceptions (care for less than a given number of children, I believe 3 is the limit), child care homes must be licensed to operate legally. There are several child care resource & referral agencies (CCR&R) in the greater Chicago area that can help you if you are looking for a day care home situation (which one you call depends on what county you live in).
If you would like to contact me privately, you can email me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####. Hope this helps
