I took my son to Dr. Angela Cush-John on Line ave and I LOVED her. She is absolutly great wiht newborns and always answered my questions without making me feel stupid for asking them. You say you would prefer someone close to base. Are you military? If so, if you have tri-care prime you need to use a pediatrician on base after 60 days. We use Dr. Thacker and like him. I have no idea if you get a choice. I was so sad about leaving Dr. Cush-john I don't even remember if I picked Dr Thacker or if he was assigned to me.

I am a single mom of a 2 1/2 year old little boy. I use Dr. Barnett with Pediatric Associates. He is located in the pediatrics building at Willis Knighton Pierremont. I absolutely love him! They are also open on Saturday and Sunday too! I have always been very pleased with this entire group. They all have great bedside manners. I can always get an appointment and never have to wait very long. I have alot of friends and family who use him as well and they all have had the same experience. I hope this helps.

I have been to a few of ped's mentioned, but my all time fav are the ones at mid-city pediatrics on line ave. Someone mentioned Dr. Cush-John, and she is great. We only see Dr. Bob Haynie or Dr. Ritch. They are very good!

I take my 3-month-old to Dr. Sanders with Ark-LA-Tex Children's Clinic located at WK Bossier. He is great-- very gentle and informative. I'm very happy with him. The Clinic is in North Bossier just North of I-220 in the hospital building.

There is also a lady physician in that group, Dr. Shalinee Singh, who is very nice. She was on call the weekend my son was born and saw him in the hospital for Dr. Sanders. She is foreign but very Americanized and is an excellent doctor. I probably would have used her if I hadn't already set up everything with another doc.

Their clinic is also open on the weekends.

Hope this helps.

K.,

I interviewed about 5 Pediatricians when I was having my first child in 2004. I went with Dr Sing at Willis Knighton-Bossier. She is friendly and understanding. She has young children of her own. She has taught previously at LSU-MC. She is also of a young age, so she will be around when my child turns 18.

She is of Middle East decent, but has NO accent and is easy to understand (one of the things I was having a hard time finding). I have been extremely happy with her and encourage you to interview her and see what you think.

Hope this helps,

S.

I have been taking my children to Monica Haynes for over 5 years and I absolutely adore her. She has young children and is going through all of the things we are going through. She always makes me feel like my kids are her only patients. My 5 year old loves her to death. She is with Portico Pediatrics. I have always been able to get appointments immediately and very rare is there a long wait time. I would give her 5 stars!!!!
