My friend sent out a picture (from walgreens) with her daugther on it saying I am going to have a baby brother. It was so fun getting that in the mail.
I am looking for ideas on ways of telling my family and friends the sex of the baby. Everyone knows I am pregnant and since this is my second child I am looking for a fun way to tell them the sex.

Something I think would be cute is to have a get a plain t-shirt or have one made and print "I Love My Little Brother" or "I Love My Little Sister", something along those lines. Have a barbecue and get everyone together and let her wear the shirt. CONGRATULATIONS on the upcoming arival! Have fun!
Let me tell you a cute way I went about doing this with my 2nd. Now, this was at Christmastime, but you can probably tweak it and do this any time of year. When we were opening presents with my parents/ my brother and sister, as well as my husband and my daughter, I gave everyone a special present. I chose various blue baby items (blue booties, a little blue baby hat, etc) and wrapped them individually. I hadn't told anyone ahead of time that this would be my way of revealing the sex. When they opened their presents, they realized the meaning :-). Very memorable!
I think you should have a party. Bake a 2 layer cake and in the center between the layers have the It's a ____ cake toper. You can decorate the outside of the cake with pink and blue sprinkles and put a big ? in the middle. Then you can tell that by the time dessert is over, they will all know the gender. You make sure you keep the cake size small enough that they can get to the middle :)
Congrats on your new baby!! Here are two fun ways I've thought of!
Blue or Pink personalized M&Ms....and have them printed to say It's a Girl, or It's a Boy and casually have them in candy jars at your house. Invite everyone over & see how long it takes them to notice.
Or, have custom fortune cookies made (google it, a lot of companies out there do this). Take the family out to dinner at an Asian place, get your server involved, and have her pass out the special cookies at the end of the meal. Have a variety that say "It's" on some, then "A" on some, then "Girl" or "Boy" on the others. That way everyone will open their fortunes and have to work together to read the sentence!! :) Good luck and let us know what you did!!!
even if you and your hubby know the gender-- it might be FUN to wait until the baby arrives. During my first pregnancy we waited and it was so fun! my 2nd pregnancy my husband and I found out but we did not tell anyone-- it is so Fun to tell everyone when the baby arrives!
congratulations!
