Need Dentist in Arlington Area

We recently switched insurance - Cigna Dental (DHMO) and found out that when my son turned 7 Cigna (CigNO) requires that we take him to a Network General Dentist instead of a Pediatric Dentist. Most of the dentist are with Monarch which I've been told to stay away from. That leaves me with very few options in Arlington. Does anyone know anything about the following Dentist?: Steven W. Thomas, DDS, Dwanye E Evans,DDS, Fred Turner, DDS (Diamond Dental). I will also end up using the same dentist as my son and try him/her out first. Any feed back would be great!

Years ago, we used Fred Turner; I really don't remember much about him. I got lapse in my dental work because I just couldn't afford what my insurance didn't pay. I have a new dentist, Mark Moore now because I'm on a different plan.

I can't really say anything bad about Dr. Turner as I don't remember him, but I wasn't disappointed in him. Sorry if I can't tell you more.

I've been to Dr. Turner a couple of times, but it's been a while back - probably 3 or 4 years ago. Their (Diamond Dental Care) waiting room is incredibly small unless they've remodeled. Dr. Turner was good, and he was friendly. He doesn't spend much time with you or tell you in detail what's going on. Very short visits, where they get whatever they need to do done, and then you're gone, once they actually see you. I do remember having to wait quite a long time once or twice, but the dental work lasted and the price was right. Good luck!

Don't go to Fred Turner!!! He is not nice, they run you through like cattle. You get too see Dr Turner on your first visit and then never again. You see the dental Hygienists for the teeth cleaning and then other intern dentists when you need more work done. WE went to him for about 7-8 years. I was never really happy but couldn't pin point why. Last summer my husband had hip replacement surgery. Three weeks later he got a terrible tooth infection and was told by his orthopedic surgeon to have it removed--don't even mess w/ root canal or anything. We explained this to the receptionist when we called and she set up an appointment. We saw Dr. Turner (amazing) and he didn't want to pull it--said he doesn't pull teeth and was not one bit compassionate to our situation. He didn't ackknowledge that my husband had hip surgery, didn't aks how he was, didn't understand the urgency at all. It was the worst experience and we were treated so bad. I was referred to Dr Douglas Engle in Arlington, by a co-worker, and we called him and he got my husband in to have the tooth pulled. We changed our insurance this year so we could go to Dr. Engle. Matter of fact I just had a root canal yesterday and it wasn't bad at all. He is a great dentist, very friendly and compassionate and so is his staff. Don't go to Dr. Turner!!!

Dr. Turner is great. When we lived in Arlington we tried one dentist, who told me I had 2 cavities, then our insurance changed and I went to Dr. Turner thinking I was going to have to have fillings- no cavities! He staff is nice. If I remember correctly their office waiting room is a little small, but I think they were remodeling.

My family has gone to Tom Whinery (on Green Oaks West, near Arkansas lane for 16 years. He does accept your insurance, but you pay your part before you leave his office. Call Marilyn, the receptionist, for more details -###-###-####.

Both my husband and 2 kids have used him since we moved to Arlington. He is a very nice christian man and has a great staff.
