I loved Women's Health First - they have 4 female doctors and 2 male doctors... they have offices in Hoffman Estates (next to the hospital), Schaumburg & Buffalo Grove!
I am looking for a new female OB/GYN that is affiliated with Sherman Hospital in Elgin OR St. Alexius in Hoffman Estates. I LOVE my current CNM that I began seeing from referrals everyone gave me from mamapedia, but we are moving!! I want to try to find someone closer to home! I am hoping to find a practice of OB/GYN's that have a CNM on staff. I prefer a midwife for many reasons, but I find comfort in having an MD on staff in the event of a medical emergency, etc. I am also hoping to find someone who is less aggressive with interventions/c-sections and is open to a more natural approach to preganancy/delivery. I am interested in having a VBAC - so hopefully someone who is open to that as well.
Thank you in advance for your referrals!

Novas, Dohr and associates in Barrington are excellent! The staff is all female and very good! I delivered at Advocate Good Shepherd in Barrington but they are also on staff at St. Alexius as I was able to choose which hospital I delivered at.
I like my OBGYN who is affiliated with Sherman, but he's a boy. Dr. Christopher Michael. If you want his info, you can send me a PM. :)
