Somehow I have lost the adapter to my camcorder- so I am unable to charge it. Can anyone tell me where I can find another adapter. So far I have checked e-bay, craigslist, and googled it, but no luck yet. My husband went back to the place where he purchased it and they no longer make this particular model so I dont really know what to do without having to buy a new camcorder. I really want it working for the holidays.
I would go to the manufacturer website i.e. Sony etc. Radio Shack usually has a generic or Best Buy just call.
I had the same problem about a year ago we went out of town for Thanksgiving and I left mine in Arkansas somewhere. If you call Best Buy or Circuit City in Arlington (i can't remember which one) they had a universal battery charger for $40. Yeah it is pricey but cheaper then having to buy a new camcorder. Another place to try is Fry's Electronics in Arlington they carry everything. Let me know what kind of camcorder it is and I can try helping you. ____@____.com
Yes, same thing here! I had to go to the manufacturer's website (Sony) and order one from them. Talk about a RIP! I paid $100 for the thing. I think I would have been better off to just buy a new one! That was several years ago, and I have since bought a new one, so definitely consider all your options.
Another suggestion... after you talk to Best Buy, Fry's, etc and find out which generic adapter will work with your model, check ebay/craigslist for that model. Sometimes, you can find what you're looking for with exact model/name of the adapter rather than the device it works with. Hope that helps.
