I use Bag Balm on my feet. It's actually for udders! You can get it at Walgreens and it's in a square green tin. $3.99 and it'll last a looong time. I put it on in the am when I put my socks on and at night when I got to bed, with cotton socks. I LOVE IT!

My mom sells Avon and I tried this product she has called Foot Works Therapeutic Cracked Heel Relief Cream. It also gives relief of pain and first aid to help guard against skin infections and also for minor cuts, scrapes and burns. It has a numbing effect for the pain. It's not noticeable but I tried it on my chapped lips to see if it would help and that is how I noticed it was numbing. I tell you what, this is the best product I have ever came acrossed for cracked feet. I bet you could use it on cracked hands also. I'm not sure if you live near Maplewood or not but she will deliver close to that area otherwise you could go to www.avon.com and find a representative near you or by calling 1-800-for-avon. Please reply to me through here if you want to order through my mom. Good luck!

This happened to me last year, too!

First time in my life, and it was actually really painful, as well as being ugly. It turned out to be Athlete's Foot and a few weeks of Lamisil AT (they make a 'women's version') and my feet were back to normal. They stopped hurting pretty quickly, and were completely back to normal in about 1-2 weeks.

Good Luck!

There is a wonderful lotion made by Melalueca the wellness company. It is called Renew Intensive skin therapy. This lotion was tested up against Eucerin and it outperformed, outlastes, and flat out beat Eucerin in every area tested on severly dry skin. It also works extremely well on Eczema. My son had a little behind his knees and I applied it a couple times and each time it got better and better and now it is gone. You do have to order it, but all of their products are great. If you want to know any more about it feel free to email me, there is a way you can get it and all of there products for 30% off. ____@____.com

In addition to lotions and files, wear shoes even in the house. Maybe have a pair that doesn't go outside so you're not tracking everything in your house. When this was recommended to me I asked about slippers and she said it had to be shoes. It works but I prefer barefeet ( not in this winter though :) ). Maybe do it until it goes away and then back off.

Hello K....
I to get cracked heals. I recently found an avon product (skin so soft) called Winter Soft with Hydroseal Complex. I would put that on every morning before I put my socks on and it helped ALOT. I also have a foot file (again from avon) that I file my feet in the shower when they need to be. You can also get any other foot file from a department store as well. I have also tried the vaseline at night before bed with a sock over, and that worked for a while but it seemed to have stoped working. But with any lotion if you put enough (rubbed in) and putting the sock over it, it holds the moisture. Also the best time to lotion any part of your body is with in 3 minutes after you shower because it locks in the moisture.

Do not get a pedicure if you have cracks you will most likely get an infection the best thing i do is but a jar of vaseline (The jelly stuff not lotion) and slather a good layer on clean very dry heels and 100% cotton socks before bed and in acouple of days they will be nice and soft make sure you rub it in or wipe it off before leaving the house or you will slip and slide all over. my daughter has exema and her hands also crack and we do this at night with her hands and socks or mittens.

Mary Kay's Night cream is a miracle worker. I have the same problem. I put that on one night with socks over them and I am not kidding, your feet are smooth as can be. Otherwise, putting vaseline on them and then socks on overnight is a great healer too. The socks I think are the key. Let me know if either works for you.

Go buy kerosal, it works real good. You can get it at any store, target, walgreens, walmart etc. I think if you go on their website, they may have a coupon. I put it on and then put a cotton sock on when I go to bed so they heal better.
Yes pedicure would help, and get the wax done on them. They put like a hot wax and mold it to your foot and peel it off, it feels soooo good, your feet will feel like baby skin. But you have to do that a little more often in the winter time cuz it's so dry it's worth it.
