Need Idea for Romantic Night at Home

My husband and I both have full-time jobs and are parents to a set of precocious identical twin boys, age 26 months. Needless to say we are both stressed and exhausted most of the time, and we had an argument before leaving the house this morning. I want to do something romantic this evening after we put the kids to bed....maybe a movie and some wine? Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Instead of staying home where you will always be listening to your children, get a babysitter and go out.

A couple of years ago we had to cancel our anniversary dinner because the kids got sick and, of course, we didn't want to leave them with a sitter. My husband went to Central Market and got several different kinds of cheeses, fruits, breads and crackers as well as our favorite wine. He set everything up on the coffee table in the living room and put our favorite CDs in the CD changer. After we put the kids to bed we just sat on the floor and talked, sampled the wares and sipped our wine. It was one of the best anniversary dinners we've ever had! We liked it so much it's now become our Valentine's dinner. (Since sitters and reservations are so hard to get on that day.) Hope this helps!

What works for my hubby...
A nice dinner (his favorite, even if it's just hamburgers), a bottle of wine or beer, and wear something he loves (like a denim skirt w/Hanky Panky underwear). Men don't need much, just be thoughtful! Oh yeah, have fun!!!

It is very important to have some time for you and your husband at this time to build your relationship so it won't be completely about the kids. Eventually they do grow up and you and your husband want a background of shared experiences for just the two of you. For an evening at home that is stress free, I would suggest getting a nice take out dinner -maybe Chinese, or Thai and having it with wine. Then, watch a movie, or play a game together. Then go to bed . It does not have to be elaborate. Another idea that is good would be to get someone to care for theboys while you and your husband go out for dinner and a movie- on a date. In Austin, the Alamo drafthouse can be great because you can eat and watch a great movie at the same time. J. K. :)

Since you allready have the movie and wine idea, maybe durring the movie you can dismiss yourself and strip down and tie a ribbon w/a bow around yourself[chest area} and ask him if he'd like to unwrap to see whats underneath. His eyes will POP.
Worked for me and him.
