Need Ideas for Christmas Presents for 6 Year Old Boy

My son is 6 years old. What are some popular gift ideas for this age? I bought him a couple of movies, a Wii game, a leap pad game and two stuffed animals, which he loves. He isn't really into a certain "thing," except games on the devices I mentioned. I would like to buy him a toy to play with. He has enough board games already. Any ideas that are popular would be appreciated. Thanks.

What can I do next?

something educational:
-magnet tiles
-kinetic sand
-I'll think of more, but if you goole these something similar on amazon or where ever might look like a good item to you for your son.

Legos - on the Lego website you can purchase bricks and shapes that they can simply build with - not the 'branded' lines like Star Wars.

Playmobil, Magnetic tiles, art supplies, zoo or museum membership (family).

Legos is a good idea. My 6 yr. old son loves Minecraft and there's a lot to choose from in that area. R/C cars, trains - Doug and Melissa makes an incredible 100% wood train set that in nearly indestructible and fuels the imagination. We got one for our daughter at age 5 or 6 and it got used by kids I babysat and then by my son when he was old enough to play with it. Go to some fun educational toy stores for some incredible ideas.

A remote control car? A remote control robot toy? Nerf guns are popular with all the boys we know. A cool indoor electronic basket ball hoop?

Hot wheels cars and track (loops and car "launchers" are the most popular in my house) are cheap, easy, and fun.

A soccer ball, a football or a basketball are all good perennial toys.

Chalktrail for Bikes is fun and unique (leaves a giant chalk line where you ride your bicycle):

Snap Circuits is educational and awesome fun:

Good luck!

A boy can't have too many Legos! Also, an indoor pop up tent lends itself to all kinds of imaginary games. The velcro stick to the wall target set is good, and my grandson loves his WWE "wrestling men" as he calls them!
