Hi, I need an OB. Yesterday I discovered that the Chestnut Hill OB practice will no longer be seeing OB patients and the Hospital will be closing Ob services after november. I am due in January and need to find a new OB. Any information you can provide regarding recommendations (or who to avoid) is greatly apprecited. I would like an M.D. and live in the Mt. Airy area. Many many Thanks! -A.

I like abington women's primary group at abington hospital. my favorite drs were Drs Michaelson, Murphy, & Keen. If you just want OB women like Dr Frankel. The practice is very busy but I thought they took good care of me during pregnancy & delivery.

But since you are due in January, it would be best to call his office in Radnor, PA

Drexel Ob/Gyn Associates are awesome. Myself and about 6 other nurses I work with all use them, and each of us sees someone different but we all love the practice. They have several offices. They deliever at Hahnemann. I have been with the practice for about 5 years. All of the doctors are great, as is the nurse practioner. You can look them up online.

Hi A.,

I am in the same place as you - however my midwife is scrambling to find another hospital that she can align herself with. Shame shame on the executive mgmt to take way another hospital in this area. It is such a loss to the community. We are aiming for a home birth but need a back-up hospital and CHH was it. I'm sorry that i do not have a suggestion - just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

Best of Luck - if you need a midwife let me know - i love mine!!!!

J.
