I am looking for feedback on the Peg Perego Pliko Switch stroller. I ordered it along with their infant seat - the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30, and am just trying to get as much info as I can on both to make sure I am making the right purchase. I love the fact that the stroller seat comes OUT of the frame and the infant seat pops in - it seems to make it SO much less bulky than all the other travel systems I have looked at (unless I want to pay $900+). Plus the infant seat is rated high on the safety ratings, and holds up to 30lbs instead of 22 which seems pretty common.
Basically, I haven't found anything "bad" about the system so I want to make sure I am not missing something! Any opinion you have on this system, good bad or ugly, please let me know!
personally, i don't like peg perego products. i have owned a couple, and thought they held up horribly for what they cost. as far as safety goes, you just can't beat the chicco key fit for an infant, and britax seats for an older child. since you already ordered it, i hope you are happy with it. maybe their quality has improved, but when i had my stuff(2 years ago), i was definitely paying for the name, b/c there was no quality to back it up.
I have the Peg Aria stroller and have loved it to death for 3 years with my kids. It is really light, easy to maneuver, and easy to open/close. I think you'd love a Peg...worth the price since you'll use it a lot.
I had the Primo car seats, but might have picked something less pricey in retrospect. I'm not sure it was worth the cost.
I have the PIP. I am not a fan either. I felt that it sat up too much for a newborn; didn't offer enough head support. I would recommend it to anyone.
If I had to do again, I'll choose a maxi cosi.
We have the Primo Viaggo, and it's held up great, about to get started on kid #3 (due in April). It is a bit heavier than some of the others, but nothing we couldn't deal with (I'm 5'7" and 140lbs when not pregnant). DD did outgrow it at 9 mos., but she's a big kid (90%). It also fit just fine in a Ford Focus and a Toyota Matrix--Britax seats won't work in many small cars, including ours, b/c they're too big. In short, it was the best, safest seat we could fit in our small cars, and we were happy with it. We did not, however, go with the matching stroller, mostly because of price, but also because size was a major consideration (again, b/c of small cars). We got an umbrella stroller from Target for $60 that would hold the carseat, too, and it's been great for us. It may not last through this kid, but even if we have to replace it, we'll just buy another one, and at $120 we'll still be cheaper than most of the other systems.

I have a peg car seat...but used the Aria OH stroller. I like the car seat a LOT, but the pain was in that a) it was heavier than others...but hey, I turned it into a work out...and b) you are somewhat bound to Peg Strollers.
I LOVE the Aria...it is small and SOOO light weight. I can get in and out of my car faster than any of our friends b/c that stroller is so easy...i can do it w/ my kid in my hand (and my other kid in tow too).
When I had my 2nd, we ordered the side by side Peg Aria (b/c we were limited to the Peg brand due to the Primo Viaggio). I never opened it, but was glad i had it...i sold it still in the box. By #2 I found ways to not lug a stroller and car seat around...invest in a SLING...makes life WAY easier...
I think you will be happy w/ it. My husband is an engineer and researches everything to the hilt...we found the European designs were way above the safety standards than the US or Asian made ones...if you do research on that subject.

I agree with what the other mothers have said. I have both Primo Viaggio carseat and the Pliko P3 stroller. I've used them for both my boys (the youngest is 8.5 months). The carseat is heavy...and it just keeps getting heavier as your baby gets bigger. By the time my sons were 5 months old, I was really huffing and puffing to get the carseat with baby from the car to the nearest shopping cart! The most difficulty I had was when I would bring #1 in to school and would have to carry #2 in the carseat--I'm a small woman (5' tall) and holding hands with #1 while trying to carry the carseat was a lot to accomplish.
I really like both items. They held up well through all the plane flights, car trips, and neighborhood walks. I don't think you'll be disappointed in the quality. Just think about the day to day stuff and whether the weight of the carseat will be an issue you're willing to deal with for the 6 or so months you'll use it.

The Viaggio seat is VERY heavy compared to the Chicco or others. We had the Peg Venizia and loved it, we NEVER used the system in tandem, our baby loved to sleep with the stroller turned into a pram.
