Start watching the cooking channel - Chopped, Iron Chef, etc. I have noticed that I'll take more chances in my cooking just because of this. It sinks in, the prep and seasoning, and helps you be more courageous.

Google or even the library may be helpful. :)

My husbands favourite dish that I make starts off with greek lemon potatoes. Peel and quarter potatoes and arrange in a large ovenproof dish with peeled and sliced garlic cloves (to taste). Pour 3/4 cup chicken stock over them. Wisk together 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/2 cup lemon juice. Add some greek seasoning, or just oregano, salt and pepper, to taste. Pour over potatoes. Bake at 400 for an hour. To the potatoes I also add bone in chicken pieces, boneless/skinless chicken breasts, or a pork tenderloin.

I love new recipies.

Here are a few we do, some are now modified becuse we have taken Gluetn out..

1. Beef Strogonoff, Cube round steak and sear on all sides for a few mins. Load into crock pot. Add Mushrooms (remove juice into contianer you will need this). Add mushroom juice into measuring cup, add water to equal 1 cup. and beef boulion (we do the GF ones). Mix with 1 can of Cream of mushroom soup (I make it, http://glutenfreecooking.about.com/od/soupsandsalads/r/Gl... ) you can use already made of course. Add 3 Garlic cloves and 1 table spoon of Worschiser saucse.. Cook for 6-8 hrs on low. We add sourcream. mix and serve over Rice or noodles of choice

2.White northeren beans.
Soak and risne beans over night.
load in crock pot, with ham steak cut up. and (peeled potatoe- you will toss this out when done cooking, this soaks in the gas). Put bean in crock pot, garlic, and chicken stock & water to cover the beans. Cook 6-8 hrs low.

3. Meat loaf, I make them 3 at a time. 2 lbs of turkey, 2 lbs of Ground beef, and 1 lb of pork. mix together, with Choice of bread crumbs, garlic/ onion, 1 egg.. seperate out into 3 loaf pans. cook for 45 mins.. I put BBQ sauce on top for the last 10 mins.

4. Spaghetti.. this is where I am bad, I don't have my own saucs I do used jar.. (but I will be working on that next summer) So instead of noodles, we use Spagehtti squash.. cook the squash in the microwave. once cookedd take a fork and scrap it out, it will look like noodes. add saucse and sausage/meat of choice.

5. Pork sholder roast.. to be shredded for BBQ pork sandwhiches..
Cook roast with Apple juice & water for 8-10 hrs low.. shred. Then when ready heat it up with BBQ saucse.. You can make a few meals with this.. once shredded put some in the freezer and portions your family will use.

Good luck.
