Hi Moms~

I wanted to see if there were any moms who sew and could help make some superhero capes OR pirate vests for a birthday. I am taking quotes and would love to hear from you for something SIMPLE... the kids could dress up, play @ party and take home.

If you are interested in some sewing business, would you give me a quote for probably 10-15 kids (max)

Thanks in advance for your time and estimate... Happy New Year, D.

I don't sew professionally but I have been sewing for over 10 years and love to make costumes. If you don't have any other offers I might be able to help you.

I have a friend across the street that likes to sew. I will ask her today if she would be interested and get back with you. She doesn't work. Also, you can get fabric at Walmart for !.00 a yard. Yippie!!! (that is, if you can find what you need off the dollar table)

When do you need these? I sew and design but also work full time. What age children (sizes?)

This is probably not as nice as you want, but when my son was into superheroes, we made capes this way: Start with an XXL tshirt. Then, leaving the collar ring intact, trim away the front half of the shirt, the shoulder seams forward, and also remove the sleeves. This leaves the collar of the tshirt to slip overhead and a flowing cape behind. You could also use it for a craft for a party: buy a tshirt for each boy and some fabric markers, etc. and let them make their own capes.
