I need to buy a good breast pump! Can you breastfeeding mommies that love your breastpumps share your favorite brands and where you bought them with me please?? I am looking into starting a job with Jet blue where I will fortunately be staying at home with my two sweet girlies, but the training requires 8 hours a day for a month away from home.

I have the Avent ISIS pump. It is a manual one but I love it! It isn't has expensive as a electric pump. If you are on a tight budget it gets the job done. I have had to pump almost everyday for three months while I am training to work at home so it has been wonderful! I have seen it at most of the stores that sell Avent.
The Medela brand is excellent. I used the double automatic pump for almost 2 yrs. I never had a problem w it. It was easy to clean and get new parts for it. I got mine online, but there is a store up in the Sugarhouse area in Salt Lake called the Lactation Station. It's off of Highland Dr. They have all different brands of pumps out that you can try and/or buy there. It's a great store to get nursing bras there too. Good luck!!

When I was getting ready to go back to work we had to look into a breast pump also. I looked into renting first, as the ones that the hospital recommends are pretty pricy.. but after some research my husband and I decided to invest (over $300) into a good Medela electric double breast pump. Especially since we decided we were not done having kids yet, and it would be a good overall investment. It came in a sleek black bag, so no one could really tell what it was. And it was able to do the job in about 15 minutes. It was wonderful! I had some family members who didn't want to make the investment just buy cheap hand pumps and they complained constantly about how much it hurt and how long it would take. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a breast pump. We bought ours at Babies R Us, but I know Target has also started carrying a similar model. Good luck!

I love your name - I just named my little girl A.. I have a medela Pump in Style, electric double breast pump that I was thinking of selling, It comes with all accessories - but you may want to replace a few parts if you are not comfortable with the used ones. I have had the pump for 3 years and love it. I am not having any more kids and my daughter just weaned herself, so I will not be needing it anymore. The pump retails for about $300.00 and I am willing to sell for around $75.00 if you are interested.
I have used the manuals...and they are not worth the money. I bought a Medela pump in style. It comes with a little cooler that fits 4 bottles with the ice pack. All fitting inside the bag. It is great. My little guy is now 13 months old. He would not nurse, so I pumped and gave him the bottle of expressed milk. Once you use an automatic, you will never go to the manual. It is worth the price. You can get the pump and all the parts at any Babies r us or Target sells some parts. I have heard the Medela (that comes in a back pack not the briefcase pump in style) is even better, but my insurance paid for this one, so I didn't complain too bad!
I also took about a yard of cotton fabric and folded it like a bandanna and used it to hold the bottles in place so I could pump hands free, I would cover my self up and drive to where ever and pump(you can buy an attachment to plug into your cigerate lighter in your car). This saved me a lot of time. But I used my pumping time to answer/write emails or just hold my baby and feed him his bottle from the previous pumping.

I depends if you are looking for an "automatic" or "manual" pump. I personally have a manual one and I really love it, it is called ISIS and it is by Avent.
Medela makes great breast pumps. Babies R Us has them and they have two that come in great bags. In fact, while traveling to NY on business, I had my breast pump with me over my shoulder. Two women asked me where I got the great bag! THe electric pumps work great and last. Good luck!
The best and only one (as far as I'm concerned) is the Medula. It comes in a little, discreet backpack. I loved it...fast and easy and it works so well. You can even rent them. I know there is a place in Sandy on 700 East and 9400 South but the name escapes me right now.
