I've heard the Sunshine Kids Radian 65 (or 85) can fit 3 across a backseat, but all would need to be that particular seat. They are a 5 point harness until either 65 or 85 pounds...not an actual booster seat.
We just found out we are expecting our 3rd baby in late August. We have a Chevy Equinox, and really cannot afford to buy a minivan. Has anyone succeeded in fitting three car seats into an Equinox? We have one child in a booster, and one in a child seat with the 5 pt harness. He will be able to go into a booster in October, so we're thinking of buying a convertible booster that we can use with the car seat belt once he's four. Are there any that are designed a little smaller or not so bulky, so that we might be able to fit an infant base/carrier in the middle? I've looked at some in the store, and it just looks like nothing will work.

You should be able to if you buy the right carrier. I have an Equinox and the back seat is huge!
Try the Fisher Price Safe Voyage Booster Seat. I ordered mine form Albee Baby online and am able to fit 2 of them plus a regular shape/size booster in the back of my minivan. Good luck!
We have two Sunshine Kids Radian 85 in our car and could fit a third without a problem. They are much skinnier then all of the rest and work WONDERFULLY. The kids LOVE them (I have a 4 yo and an 18 mo). Good luck. :)
My husband drives a Hyundai and It was a problem until we discovered a travel seat that straps in with a seatbelt,it is just a backboard with a 5 pt. harness just like a regular carseat, and they are sitting on the seat. I think it might be Graco that makes it. I don't use it anymore if you would like to try it. I'm in Aurora
They do! I have three childre (4, 2 and 10 months) It is a tight squeeze, but we too, can not afford to buy something else at this point. My 4 year old is in a booster and my 2 yearold will be in one in about 3 months, so I am hoping I can have a little more room to manuever things. You just have to think about placement. You can make it work!
