Try Simple Green. That stuff will take paint off of a wall. I love that stuff when it comes to stains. It will take Kool-aid stains off of a counter. Wish you luck.
Ok moms,
Well one day when i was at work my little sister (16) was watching my kids my 2 year old daughter dropped a bottle of dishwasher soap, the bottle broke and it went every where! Of course my sister didnt do a very good job cleaning it up and by the time i got home it had hardened and well it stained my tile, parts of the cupboard and splatter marks on the stove where it hit! I have tried everything to get it up. The tile is an off white and the molding in between is brown so you can totally see it, especially in the molding. HELP!! I am a clean freak so this is driving me crazy!!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but dishwasher detergent has bleach in it. It is not so much that you can't get it cleaned up as it has bleached the grout. You may have to just find a close paint and paint that small bit of grout. I like to use dishwasher detergent to clean my tub because of the bleach in it. But there is so much that you have to almost wear gloves. I think you are cleaned up and no amount of cleaning will clean up a bleached surface. Sorry.
I agree with the comment about dishwasher detergent having bleach and that you may not be able to get it out since it may not be a "stain". I am glad to hear when your daughter dropped it that it didn't splatter in her eyes or mouth. With bleach as an ingredient, it can be very dangerous. I am a mom dedicated to teaching other moms about products that they are using in their homes and I would love to talk to you more.

You could try a product called Sol-U-Mel from a company called Melaleuca. My two yr old got magic marker on our foot board, night stand and walls. It totally cleaned it off. And it's natural so it's safe for our kids (incase they were to swallow it or something).
If you are interested, email me and I'll give you more information about it.

Try a mixture of baking soda and peroxide. Make it into a paste and use a toothbrush to scrub the grout. I am a neat freak too and I used this on a coffee stain on my countertop and it worked wonders!!! Good luck!!
J.,
Scary to think dishwasher soap can do that to tile, but I must say that it must contain toxins in it. I really want to help you out in a couple ways, one solumel the only nontoxic cleaner that I think will get it out and two if you are a clean freak like me using ammonia based or chlorine bleach based you may be doing what I did and that is poisoning our children. It took me $60 thousand dollars in medical bills to find out that after all those years of trusting manufactures that these product are safe, to find out they lied and we are getting hurt by them wanting to produce things cheaply and charging us a fortune. Maybe harsh to say, but it is the cold hard truth. gotgreennow.fourpointwellness.com, some links here on what these chemicals do. If I can help just one family to save their health then I have acomplished my goal, I am dedicated to show people how to eliminate those toxins.
You might try calling a tile & grout specialist. They use heavy duty cleaner to get up stains. I'm not sure how much they cost, but Marriott hotels use these type of specialists all of the time. Not sure which area you are in, but try High Impact located in Lehi, UT if located in Utah County. I know they have done a lot of work for Marriott in the area.
I am guessing, I could be wrong, but diswasher soap has alot of bleach in it. You are not seeing stains, but results of bleach.
I just read the responses. I guess you have been given info on the bleach situation already. Good luck. I am glad your little one is not hurt too.
