This sounds crazy but I love the Carmen Electra striptease work out dvd's. The routines are not very long and they really help tone your whole body. Plus it's kind of a fun way to excercise!
My time to exercise is during my kid's naps in the afternoon in my living room. So far I either use the stationary bike or do a Walk Away the Pounds video. I need some more exercise dvd options. Which ones do you like and why? Also, I need one that isn't doesn't do too much jumping because my back feels really sore the next day ever since I threw it out last August. Thanks!
Wow! What a wealth of information you all are! Thanks so much everyone! All of your suggestions were great and now I will figure out what to do.

Hi E.,
You may want to try Tae Bo, the instructor is Billy Blanks. I have the old tapes and I really like it. It is not really alot of jumping and it helps you lose inches and pounds. I used to do two tapes per day the basic is aprox. 20 min. and the 8 min. workout. I have breast cancer and had an operation in November and had not been able to workout for a while. I started again last week. I am now doing just one tape as I will have to regain my stamina. I think there is also a new Tae Bo tape out but I have not tried it yet. Good Luck.
Hi E., I love the Buns of Steel, Abs of Steel, etc - they have a 15 minute segment series that is great. I also like The Firm and the Billy Blank Tae Bo dvds and videos, All have non and low impact tapes and dvds.
I personally really like pillates on the ball. Also I've discovered the fitness channel has a ton a little workouts that you can put together to get just the right workout for you. Just DVR or Tivo them (if you have that option) and then pick and choose.
Hello E.. Well, I think when searching for a DVD we should always be realistic about our abilities. I know what I'm talking about because I have bought so many workout DVD's. I have "THE FIRM" or I think it's just "FIRM" a set of 4 DVD's to tone different parts of the body. I really couldn't get as involved because I didn't have the equipment they were using on the videos. I purchased a Yoga Video and was amazed to see the exercise positions. There was no way I was able to bend myself that way! I guess what I am trying to say is purchase something you will feel comfortable with. Make sure to have all the gadgets involved with the video or it won't work. Workout videos didn't work for me. I purchased a threadmill and I do old-fashioned squats and lunges. You really don't need to buy anything just develop your own technique by watching samples of other workouts and stick to it. You should always walk or jog. When I work out I think of myself as a warrior or a football player...otherwise I wouldn't exercise at all. Just remember to combine cardio and weight training. Plus, you can focus on different parts of your body every time you workout. Don't Forget to Stretch!!!
My sister and I like the Windsor Pilates, it's a lot of strength, versus cardio. But boy it kicks our but. :)
OK, these are more toning than areobic (ie, they'll sculpt you more than they'll burn away fat), but 10 Minute Solutions Blast Off Belly Fat and 10 Minute Solutions Slim & Sculpt Pilates are both fabulous. (The latter comes with a Pilates band included.) The host is likable and super strong, and there are five 10-minute segments on each DVD. Comes highly recommended on Amazon, and I personally love both DVDs.
