I live at Palm and Glenoaks in Burbank. I would really like to have a Pediatrician that is good, a female, and within walking distance of my residence. I can dream, can't I?
Thanks everyone for your very quick responses! I decided to go with Dr. Lubin for now since she received such high praise and is only 7 blocks from our apartment. I can certainly walk that far for normal check ups. This is my first time really using mamasource .... What a great resource!! Thanks again!

We use Lakeside Medical at Glenoaks and Cedar.We really love all of the pediatricians there. All very well educated, moms themselves and really nice bedside manner. Very recommended, Dr. Whang, Dr. Bloom and Dr. Lubin. It's nice to have such a nice unit of doctors in one place because inevitably your doctor will be busy or not in on a day when you need them. Well if you decide that driving is acceptable to you, I can't recommend Dr. Germaine Green more. She is in Glendale, next to Glendale Memorial Hospital. I live in Glendale and drive to Burbank for the dentist, so it's not that big of a deal to me. My children have been with her since my son was born in 1998. We had to switch to another doctor once when our insurance changed but that just reiterated how much we love Dr. Green! There are two other doctors in her office that are really good as well.
I kknow you said walking distance but if you don't find one close we have an excellent one in downtown LA. We love her. If your interested please contact me.

I too live in Burbank and know your neighborhood well. I know a pediatrician, Dr. Marsha Gerro, that you could try. Her office is located on Glenoaks between Tujunga? and Verdugo- I think it's 303 S. Glenoaks. She is in a private practice, has kids of her own, and has been there a long time. I know one of her nurses (through church and she's a patient of mine) and she's worked there a long time and says Dr. Gerro is good and easy-going. You can make a "Meet and Greet" appt. and check her out. Unfortunately, she is not our pediatrician (because of ins.) but we might try to do some changing. Good Luck!
Dr. Stephanie Whang is in the same office as Dr. Lubin at Lakeside Medical on Glenoaks and Cedar. She is also young and very helpful. She is a little bit newer to the office, so I believe it is a bit easier to get in to see her than Dr. Lubin. They also have really cute offices and decorated patient rooms.
