I had the recent double whammy of becoming a first-time mom (yea!!) and moving to a new state away from my friends and "comfort zone" (arg!). I know some people in the area but not really any other moms that stay at home, and chatting with my old friends online, over the phone, or texting only goes so far. I seriously NEED to find some way to get out of the house and socialize with adults and make new local friends or I will go crazy (and make my husband crazy as well!)! I would love to find a Moms/MOPS group to join, or even a mommy and me exercise or yoga class (or any other types of activities you can do with an infant...I'm open to suggestions!). I live in the west-central part of the OKC metro; southeast of Lake Overholser and south of Bethany, around 10th and Council. Thank you in advance for your help!!! :o)

Welcome to the OKC metro area! I live north of you, close to Rockwell, just north of NW Hiway. My kids are grown now, but I used to use the MDO at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, on 39th. I know there are lots of other programs around that I'm not aware of, not having used them for so long, but that would be fairly close to you. Hope this helps, and again, welcome to OKC!

Here is a number to a mommy and me yoga class ###-###-####. I did it whem my son was little and he loved it. There is also a place called The Little Gym it is in okc but the kids have to be 4 months or older it was something my son did and he loved it here is the number for that to ###-###-####. I know how you feel I'm a single mom of three. I found this website a few weeks ago, it's for mom's and they have playdates, etc. I have joined the group in Edmond which is where i live. Here is the link to that group:

I started my own business well Mary Kay. It has helped me meet new people and I love the product. It gave me something to fill my void yet I can work around any schedule. I go to weekly meetings (which i just love). I am working toward my first free car and free diamonds. It was something I started because I was board but man what a ride it is.
