Hi
I am just wondering who your social skills therapist is?
Thanks!
My seven-year-old son is on medication for ADHD, was diagnosed at two years old with Expressive Language Delay to be followed by Social Skills Delay and most recently PDD-NOS. We just moved from DFW area where we had a village of support: Speech Pathologist of five years, Social Skills therpaist of two years, Developmental Peds DR, GCISD Specials Program administration second to none (speech, counselor, reading, o/t... IEP is in full force).
I hear that Specially For Children-an extension of the Dell Children's Medical Center-is the best in the area but from there I am in a fog. Would prefer someone at or near the center in Round Rock but will drive to Austin if I have to. I don't care where a doctor is located, my son is priority #1.
In addition am looking for general pediatrician, dentist, ENT for my son and his twin sister. I'll work on me and my husband once the children are cared for.

All of the pedi drs at Austin regional clinic are great. We see prochnow and Grier at the north hills location at braker & 183. Also do after hours care at location in round rock.
I would highly recommend nuerosensory center of austin for specialist. We are seeing him for sensory issues. If you google his name there are many parent praises on blogs for his help w autism. I have also heard good thongs about specially for children. Both have around a 4 month wait so call asap
Both my 10 month old and almost 3 yr old had tubes and adenoids/tonsils removed. I loved our ent. Dr slaughter at capital otolaryngology or capital ent I don't remember the exact name
All the docs at Treehouse Pediatrics in Round Rock are awesome and the office is very nice too.
I don't know too much about autism spectrum docs but there is a doc that several of my friends take their kids to that is sort of controversial but he is into alternative therapies for children with autism. People travel from all over the US to see him but there are people who are going to LOVE him and others are going to tell you to stay away.
Do your own research. His name is Kendal Stewart.
Also, we use Kids Dental Smiles in Cedar Park and really liked them too.

Good Luck!
Welcome to the area! I don't know any specialists for autism spectrum, but have some other recommendations. I go to a completely wonderful ENT who is in Cedar Park. Her name is Karen Stierman and her office is on 1431 near the Super Target. www.austinentmd.com, ###-###-####. She just took my sons tonsils out and operated on my husband's nose years ago. We love her! There's a really good pediatric dentist in Cedar Park, Bert Vasut. www.drbertvasut.com, ###-###-####. His staff is wonderful, I'm so impressed every time I go there. And he couldn't be any nicer if he tried, totally makes the kids comfortable. I have twins too, they're 5 and decided they wanted to be dentists after meeting him. Good luck!
