I am relocating from Chicago to Lakeway next week. My children really love their music class. Does anyone have advice on a good music class for very young children in the Lakeway area? Any other advice on the area: pediatricians, summer camps or programs, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I need recommendations from moms in the know. Thanks!

You'll love Lakeway! Try Kindermusic with Deborah Foster or the Lakeway Activity Center. There are only two preschools in town - Lake Travis United Methodist and the Lakeway Church. Both are excellent. LTUMC has some openings.
Check out Cityoflakeway.com ~ the activity center has kinderdance, sports and other organized activities for kiddos. The parks always have fun events for families and the swim center in the summer is great - all info on that website.
Outside of Lakeway, the best music class is Heart Song

Hi C., we moved to Austin from Chicago 3 years ago.. Do a google search for Kindermusic by Deborah Foster.. I don't live in Lakeway, but I know she does and offers classes up there. She has a website. I wish I could help with more in the Lakeway area, but I am not familiar with the area.. I am sure there is MOMS Club or Mothers and More chapter there... I believe there is a Kindermusik in Lakeway; check out this website http://www.kmbydeborah.com/index.htm (Although we went to Gymboree classes in Oak Hill/south Lamar instead. I can't recommend the Kindermusik class one way or the other...)

It is about a 30 minute drive down 620 to NW Austin, but we loved Rat-a-tat-tots www.ratatattots.com music classes with Lainie. Tons of fun and our kids love it. She has tons of energy and finds ways to remain connected with every child and parent thru the class. The classes I attended in the Summer session were a blast.
My Time Gym is located in Lakeway. Lori always has fun activities planned. Also, you are not too far from Austin and there is a lot to do there.
Java Dive Organic Cafe is a healthy place where a lot of the local moms hang out.
