New to the Neighborhood and Needing a Doctor

We use Cook's Children's-Dr. David Goff. We have seen his wife, too. I like them both very much and have heard the other two doctors are good, too. They are on the corner of Teasley and Windriver in Denton.

Dr. Fikkert is awesome! I truly trust her! She has great experience and lots of knowledge. She is also nice, personable, trustworth, honest and friendly. You should give her a try!

Someone else posted Cook Children's South in Denton. I have several friends that use both Mr. Dr. Goff and Mrs. Dr. Goff, and they are fantastic! I personally use Dr. Milt Squier's at Cook Children's North in Denton. This office is probably a bit closer to you coming from Justin. I have tons of friends who use Dr. Squiers. He has been practicing for years, is very gentle as well as thorough in talking through things and answering questions. My husband and I know him on a personal level as well because he and his wife are our bible study leaders.

I have another good friend that uses Dr. Amy Adams in Denton. Her office is right by Presbyterian Hospital of Denton on the North end of town too. My friend has had a great experience with her.

I think any of these doctors would be about a 15 minute drive from Justin, but it should be an easy highway drive that is not heavily traveled.

Welcome to Texas...I use Dr. Jones of Medical Clinic of North Texas. I can tell you she has the best heart and loves the kids like her own. A few reason as a parent to use her; she has a walk in time in the morning, she is opened on Saturdays (almost all), the doctors are the ones who take after hour calls and she will support you to make the decisions that you feel comfortable with. I can't tell you enough how great she is. I don't know her number off hand...but honestly she rocks as a doctor.

Please feel free to ask any questions about the area...photographers, places to go or anything like that...I have four girls and we are always looking for the best ideas and places

I live in Justin also. But, my kids pediatrician is in Grapevine, Dr. Roberts, he is at Baylor Hospital Grapevine right off of 114 east and is wonderful. My kids are 11 and 7. There is a doctor in Justin where the Subway is, I can't remember her name right off the bat. But Dr. Robert's number is ###-###-####.

We love our pediatrician, her office is at I-635 and MacArthur in Irving and her name is Dr. Michelle Fowers. She is the best!! Don't know if you want to drive that far?

We love Dr. Kathryn Levy and her associate Dr. Elhence at Lake Lewisville Pediatrics in Lewisville. They are wonderful pediatricians. My kids are older teens now but we still see them. I highly recommend either one of them.

Welcome to Texas, I have 4 girls and have taken them to the Cooks Children Clinic off of Teasley/Swisher in Denton. This is the area off of loop 288, other side of 35E from the mall...their number is ###-###-####. I use Drs. Goff (husband/wife), but have been very happy with Dr. Day (male) and Tory (female) there as well. Not familiar with drs out in Justin. I know that area is growing so it is possible that there might be something closer. You might call this number and see if they have any recommendation out there by you. If not, I think you would be happy at this location. Good luck in your search.

Dr David Goff from Cook Children's in Denton off of Teasley is great. He has two other associates. I like Dr Day better than Dr Torrie. Good Luck!

who is your insurance provider? i take my son to kid care pediatrics in keller about 20-30 min away. yes, when you first move here the highways suck. they still kinda suck a year and a half later still.

We have always used Dr. Davis at Cooks Childrens. His office just moved to Heritage Trace and Beach. I have only had positive experiences with him. I've met his associate once - Dr. Phillips (I think that's her name) who was really nice too. They also added a new associate when they moved offices, but I don't know anything about that one.

I was recommended to Kid Care Pediatrics by a friend of mine. They have two offices, one in Keller and one in Ft. Worth. (I go to the Keller one). The nurses are very kind and the doctors are great and knowledgeable! You can get appointments very quickly there too. My 6 mth old son has been seeing Dr. Alicia Leffel since he was born, and I will not take him to anyone else! Good luck finding a doctor but I highly recommend Kid Care!
