Night Light That Tells Child When to Sleep or Wake

I am looking for one of those night lights that helps the child understand if it is time to be awake or asleep. My daughter wakes early and I want her to know when it is time for me to come in and get her. Also, she recently stopped napping and I want her to know when "quiet time" is over.
I have seen some online, but would like any positive or negative input. If you have one and like it, could you please post the info? Thanks so much.

We bought this alarm clock to tell our son when he can get up. It works great. It changes color for him so he knows he can get up when it turns green:

In case the link doesn't work, it's on Amazon and it's called American Innovative Teach Me Time Talking Alarm Clock and Nightlight.

I got the www.goodnitelite.com light that turns from a moon to a sun and it was the best purchase I ever made! My son has been waking after 7am consistently for over 8 months since we bought it (we got it since he started waking at 5:30), he's proud and excited that he "waited until the sun came up!", makes it fun.

I bought one from Fat Brain Toys (online), it's call Teach Me Time! It is a clock/night light that both shows the time (digitally as a clock display, digital, or both), teaches time, provides a nightlight (that can be turned off and on) and can change to green when it is ok to get up (or you can turn that feature off). We love ours so far...haven't utilized the teaching/game aspect yet but the clock has helped with getting my daughter out of bed (new timing for school) and staying in bed when it isn't time to get up.

We have been using one of those electrical outlet timers for a year or so now. You know, like people use to have their lamps or Christmas tree lights turn on and off when they are away from home. It works great, you can plug any nightlight or lamp into it (we have a table top "lamp" shaped like a ladybug) and it's easy to change when it cuts on or off, if you want. Plus, you should be able to get one at any hardware store, maybe even Wal-Mart/target. They are all over the place at Christmas (even saw them at Big Lots one time), but I'm sure a hardware store would carry them year-round. It has been a life saver for us!

If you decide not to go for this clock, we just used a regular clock and told the kids they could get us when the first number is 7. If it's not 7, it's not morning yet. Too bad the infant can't tell time! I use this for quiet time too - you can come out when the first number is 2. Works well if they know their numbers.

We got our dd an alarm clock, and on a piece of paper, in the same type of lettering as the clock, wrote the time she's allowed to get up, 7:00. We taped it up above the clock, so that when the numbers match, she's allowed to come wake us up if we haven't already gotten up.

We tried using a regular alarm clock to keep my daughter from waking early after she learned how to get out of her crib but it didn't work. She just didn't "get it". So we invested in an OK to Wake alarm clock from Amazon and it's been great because it's a visual cue it is very easy for them to independently regulate themselves. I recommend using it!
