This is #6 for me and I was just curious if any of you have experienced anything similar. Food is very unappetizing to me and has been through out this whole pregnancy. I had a little bit of morning sickness during the first 3 months- but I am into my 6th month and I really don't want to eat anything.
I really have to remember to eat. It gets worse if I do happen to skip a meal- the longer I go without eating, the more disgusting food becomes to me to the point of where I feel sick even thinking of eating- so I force myself to eat some crackers or something.
It was like this a little bit with my last pregnancy- but only lasted about a month- then I was fine and could eat anything.
Well, my weight gain is fine- I have mentioned it to my doctor- he just said make sure I eat. Just wondering if anyone else had an aversion to all food when they were pregnant- even after the morning sickness went away.
Thanks!
~C.

it can become a cycle, the less you eat, the less you want to or feel the need to eat. Just find something that you like and start snacking. You need to get some nutrition into your system and stay hydrated. Is there anything you do like? strawberries, other cut up fruits? Once you start eating again your body and your stomach will start to crave more food.

I felt the same way during my only pregnancy which was twins. I didn't even have a single day of morning sickness either. It didn't last through my entire pregnancy, but I wasn't even showing until I was 5 months- with twins.

I gained 33 lbs total during my pregnancy, but my girls were 6lb5oz & 5lb7oz. Even though my weight gain was only what some women gain with a singleton pregnancy, my twins' birth weights were on level with the birth weight of a singleton. The baby will take your nutrients first, and gain the weight first. As long as the baby is progressing normally and your OB is not concerned, you should be fine.

I ate a lot of oatmeal. That's probably better than the crackers.

I did not have the same issue but when I did not feel like eating, I would just drink an Ensure.....it kept me fed and was a quick fix.....especially in the middle of the night.....just a suggestion.

I went through the same thing with #2. I didnt want to eat anything no matter what it was. And when I was 7 months I flew home with my DS to visit our families for the summer, all they had planned was throwing huge BBQ's and taking me out for lunch or dinner everyday (I now live in a really small town that only has a Chilis) so they were taking me to all my favorite places to eat. I felt so bad because I had to force myself and even then I couldnt force myself to eat very much.
I gained 23 pounds so my doctor kept telling me I was doing fine but it was a really strange thing to be experiencing cuz with my DS I couldnt get enough food. : )
You are doing good, make yourself eat though because I noticed the same thing the longer I went the more unappealing food became.
Maybe the holidays and all the yummy food that gets made will turn it around?...
Congratulations to you and your family!!
