T.H.
I also bought Bravado and really liked it. Yes, they are expensive, but I think good bras are worth the money!
Can anyone recommend a nursing bra that doesn't look hideous under a T-shirt (you know...not bunchy, lumpy, pointy, nipply...)?

I just recently bought this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00061RX4Y/ref=oss_product. I really like it. I use Lansinoh nursing pads.
My favorite is Allure by Bravado. http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-allure-underwire-n...
I've been nursing almost non stop for nearly 10 years now and 3 kids later. I have bought more bras than I can count. I really do love this one! It took me a little bit to get used to the light padding in the cups but after that they've been amazing. They're a little expensive but you can find sales and coupons sometimes that bring the price down.
They've got a nice low cut front so you can wear a shirt with a nice scoop or V and not be showing off your "granny bra" like so many other ones.
I live in tshirts and stuff all the time and they look really nice.
I found some great tank top nursing bras at Target.... I love them... I still wear them now even though I am no longer nursing... they are sooooooooooo comfortable and they look great. they have a great clip that I really dont think most people notice... I cant remember what brand they are but they run about $16 and fit great, feel great, and look great! Most def. the best one I found in the 13 yrs since I started nursing ( NOT the same child).
Target's nursing tank top.....it's all I've been wearing for the past 17 months...still nursing!!! I love them because if you lift you shirt from the bottom.....no skin is exposed!! I bought one in black, brown, and grey and have been rotating them for a long time!!!

I bought the night time sleeping bra and a different one for the day. Very pleased with both. The daytime one I bought does not have any padding, so I often wear nursing pads to keep my nipples from showing during cold weather.
I had no problem with Medela or whatever I bought at Penney's (I think mostly Playtex soft cup). They were all comfortable and I used Lansinoh nursing pads and had no real problems with appearance.
It depends a bit on your cup size and how much support you need. I'm a plus band size a C/D cup. My favorite was a La Leche League bra that was good for nursing and pumping. I found it online. Motherhood maternity has some okay nursing bras--comfortable but not such great support. Try on at the store though because their return policy is strict.
Sports bra.
That's what I used. Under all my clothes... with a nursing breast pad inserted in it.
Target has some nice padded ones with no underwire.
Bravado are the best I have found. Well worth the price
I loved the Bravado Lifestyle Essential Microfiber Bra. It was the only nursing bra that looked like a normal bra! Unfortunately It looks like they don't make it anymore, but I think Bravado makes other bras that are comparable. A little pricey, but worth it.
sports bras. the ones with little spaghetti straps. i HATE nursing bras...
I think your breast size matters a lot when making this decision. If you are larger than average then definitely go into a maternity store and nice lingerie department and ask for a fitting. And also ask for a smooth cup that looks good under a T...they are very experienced and helpful. If you are small, then just look for the smooth cup in any brand.
I always used sports bras with nursing pads in them also, and usually wore a tank top over the sports bra. Its cheap and effective.
