Nursing Bra Recommendation

Hello! I am due to have baby #2 in 9 weeks. Last time I nursed for about 9 months and plan to nurse again. I never found a nursing bra that I loved last time. Any suggestions? My two main concerns are bras that allow me to easily breastfeed/pump and that do not look lumpy under a tighter fitting shirt.

On a related note, what type/brand of nursing pads do you like? Thanks!

I wish I could remember the name of the nursing bras I used. I actually got them from QVC! They were very comfortable, not bulky and made it very easy to nurse and pump.

I tried many and ended up using Medela nursing bras both times...I slept in the ones from Target...

Nursing Pads - Lansinoh is the ONLY way to go...I also liked the Lilypadz resuseable ones...but you can't use those til baby is 3 months old..great for swimming.

The $10 Walmart nursing bra was my favorite. Especially while you are waiting for your tummy to go down and your breasts might be soar. It is soft, comfortable and cheap!! I could also throw it in the dryer! For pads I used the extra soft Lansinoh pads. I found that at night they helped with leaking better than the regular pads which would leak still. They are the "super absorbent" of all the breast pads :)

A bra not so sure about, however I have spaghetti strap nursing/bra shirts and love them. I got them at the maternity store. You can wear them under a button down shirt or sweatshirt.

I'm not thrilled with any of my nursing bras, but I am thrilled with the "Simple Wishes" hands-free pumping bustier. When I first saw it, I was dubious because it looked like the sort of flimsy thing that would only work on tiny-chested women - but it's AWESOME. It holds full bottles of milk and is sturdy enough that I can even walk around while pumping if I use the battery pack on my Medela.

Nursing bras are very hard to buy:( The ever changing boobies make it even harder. I nursed my son for a year and actually found my bras at Motherhood Maternity. They were smooth and looked fine under tops, no bulk!. I also work at a maternity store and help women with this all the time... my best suggestion is to get fitted in a few weeks and then try the bras on. You may love the first one or you may have to try on a bunch. I know that Motherhood still carries the bra that I had, has lace on the sides. I know that Target also is starting to get some nicer ones as well. If you know your size there are also lots of options online. Congrats on baby #2 and best of luck with the bra shopping!
