Hi There,

Does anyone have a reccomendation for a thin nursing pad that actually sticks, and doesn't show through clothing? The ones I have been using are fairly thick, and it is getting warm out.

Thanks!

Try the Medela disposable ones. They were my favorite. They are thin and super absorbent. I did not care for the washable ones because I stayed wet.

I would recommend one only and that is...
Lansinoh, Disposable Nursing Pads.
I don't stick them in my bra, I just place them there. But, they are the most comfortable and absorbent. I have tried all of them!

SOOTHIES... found at CVS or Walmart.

They are a gel pad that is absorbent and soothing to uncomfortable nipples. They warm to the body temp. I tried other gel pads for painful nipples and they did not warm and stick to breast. Also with SOOTHIES you can put lanolin on and still wear them. Other cloth pads remove the lanolin and other gel pads don't adhere if you use lanolin.

GOOD LUCK

Hi K. - Lilypadz are awesome. They are non-disposable silicone-type material and work very well. They're about $20 and available sometimes at Babies R Us and the gift store on the 3rd level at Plano Presby. I think there is a new brand out now that's like them, but I don't know what the name is. Hope this helps. Good luck! N.

I don't know how much leakage you have. I didn't have that much, but have sensitive skin. All of the nursing pads I bought irritated my skin. A friend recommend I cut a pantyliner in half and use that. It worked wonderfully.

Hi K.,

I bought my nursing pads thru www.clothdiaper.com, and they were wonderful! They are very thin, made from cotton, and washable. I used them when nursing both of my kiddos!

I have been using the Medela brand pads that I bought at a maternity store. They are better than a few others I have tried becuase they are thinner and are shaped into a cup so they don't bunch up very much and show. But if you find anything better, I'd love to hear!

I don't know if you have already tried Lily Padz, but they worked well for me once I was over the initial mass leakage issues. I ordered mine online, but I know Motherhood stores carry them to. They were great because they don't absorb they apply enough pressure to keep it from leaking. They are so thin you can't see them even w/ fitted tops and they still stick when swimming. Hope this helps.

I agree with the Lansinoh Disposables. Very thin, and you can toss them when they get soiled. They have an adhesive strip and I used them under Japanese Weekends' thin stretchy nursing bras. They were great and you can find them almost anywhere, Target, etc.
