I am looking for a preschool program for my 2 1/2 year old (3 in December), mainly for socialization, but also because he really loves learning. He spends his time at home with my husband and I, we are nurses and alternate work around the kids, so he's not been in any child care/ preschool type settings yet. I'm looking for two half-days, near West Chester/Liberty Township/Mason area. He has a peanut allergy, so I'm on the lookout for a nut-free program, which isn't mandatory, but would be comforting for me. I have found a preschool I absolutely love in Mason (Endeavor), but debating on spending the $380/month, that's pricey. Suggestions and advice would be great, thanks so much!!
We decided on Liberty Heights Preschool! It's close to home, excellent facilities, very nice director, nut-free, and very reasonably priced. My son will be in the 2 yr old class on Tues/ Thurs, and we look forward to his first day! Thanks so much for all of the suggestions, they are much appreciated!!
My daughter goes to the Goddard School and they are a nut free facility. She loves the pre-school program there. She goes to the one in Loveland but I know there is one in the West Chester/Mason area also.
I have had three kids go through pre-school in three different cities and all of the schools were "nut free." I think that's standard now.
My youngest child just finished at Heritage Presbyterian in Mason and we liked it there.
I would recommend looking into a preschool program offered by a local church. I have several friends who sent their 2- to 4-year-olds to local churches for preschool. They offer the same learning experience as most preschools . . . my friend's 3-year-old was reading by the end of the first school year! They also have a smaller teacher:child ratio, which is very important to give a child individual attention if needed. The smaller classes make it an easier transition for a child who has not been in a classroom environment before. The price is a no-brainer, too. My friends paid around $90-$120 a month! Having worked in a church preschool at one time, and being nursery director at my church, I have also seen the strict guidelines and procedures that are in place for food allergy safety concerns. You definitely will need to check out any preschool and find out what their procedures would be for allergy concerns, and don't be afraid to make sure they are enforced! After all, your child's safety and well-being is the most important thing! I live in Lindenwald, right next door to Fairfield and right down the street from West Chester (a 15-minute drive). I am a stay-at-home mom with two boys ages 4 and 8, and nursery director at my home church in Fairfield Township (First Church of God). God bless!

My sons go to Sycamore Presbyterian Church Preschool, which is located on Mason-Montgomery Road. It is a peanut free environment and I have been very pleased with the program.
Heritage Presbyterian on the corner of Tylersville and Mason/Montgomery Road. My daughter went there at 2 1/2 and one of the little boys in her class had a peanut allergy and the teachers were great about it!!!! They had great snacks but they were all peanut free!
I know its a little further, but the Fairfield Child Development Center, believes in being nut free. They have it posted on all the classroom doors.
However, most of them, including Lord of Life Christian Preschool, tend to recommend to all parents to stay away from the nuts due to so many children have allergies.
Liberty Hts. Weekday Preschool is off of Princeton Rd. You go over 75. We are peanut free and watch what snacks come in.
