Hi All,
I am 30 weeks pregnant and I want to change my OB/Gyn. My first child was born in another state, so if you can advice someone here, it will be great. I am looking for doctor's office located somewhere near Mesa (Power / US60) or near Tempe campus of ASU.
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,
N.
Hi! I also see Dr. Messer and also Dr. Ballaro-Anderer at Oasis Obgyn. I've also been so nervous about doctors but everytime I'm in there I feel so peaceful and relaxed. I had a lot of trouble near the end of my pregnancy and felt like they took specially good care of me and my baby.
I go to Dr. Layton, but anyone of the doctors in his group is fabulous. Their number is ###-###-####. They deliver at Banner Gateway on Higley/US60 - totally fabulous new hospital - they even have a fold out menu to order all of your meals from.
I love Julie T Adams. Her office is on Gilbert and Guadalupe, but you would have to go to Chandler Regional to have your baby.
Look up Valley Women for Women
by the way, my first delivery was with Dr. Huff, and I was not pleased. It was rush rush, no friendly bedside manner, and he made me feel bad that he was missing his sunday golf game. He threw my husbands and moms cameras to the floor when they were in his way, didn't even ask them to move them please. That was over 7 years ago, maybe he's learned a little since then.
Both of my pregnancies have been under the care of Dr. Tamanaha at Contemporary Care for Women and I have been very pleased. This OB/Gyn office is located on the corner of Greenfield and Guadalupe and they deliver at Banner Desert Medical Center just off US 60 on Southern and Dobson. See them online at www.careforwomen.net. Best wishes with your new baby. They also have a Tempe office that you might want to check out. I have friends that go there. R.
I'm in the process of changing my Ob/Gyn to Dr. Brass-Jones at True Harmony. www.trueharmony.com. I know they take BCBS as well as a few other plans. They are very close to your location as well.
Good luck and congratulations!
Dr Huff is supposed to be wonderful, I've heard many other doctors recommend him as well as patients. He wasn't on my insurance though so I saw Dr Jeffrey Izenberg the office is at broadway and power he goes to banner baywood and the new hospital banner gateway. I delivered my 3rd baby just one month ago. I really liked Dr Izenberg he was very easy to talk to helped me get over some fears about circumcising and overall a really good guy.
I recommend Dr. Linnerson with Contmporary Care for Women on Guadalupe and McClintock. He and his assistant, Michele, are fantastic! You can check out Contemporary Care for Women on their website at www.careforwomen.net. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Terry Huff Md. He delivered both my boys, my 2 nieces and a ton of my friends babies. The staff is awesome. I have also heard Dr. Messner is good too. I have had the chance to meet her outside of the office and she is very personable.
I just had a baby girl in May of 07, she is now the light of my life. I went to East Valley OBGYN off of Dobson and the US60. I loved the support and the attention I received from everyone in the office. I was also delivered at Banner Desert. The phone number for East Valley OBGYN is ###-###-####, I am not sure if they are accepting new paticents though, but its worth a shot
I recommend contemporary care for women at greenfield and guadalupe. They are an amazing practice and I've been extremely happy with them!
Dr Terry Huff delivers at banner baywood (power & broadway) and my delivery was awesome. I have 3 other friends who has used him w the same outcome. I had to have a c-sec and he was in and my baby was out within minutes- no time to stress at all, not to mention all the nurses were gushing @ how much they like working w him. ###-###-####
CHeck out Dr Kimberly Balk......she is an awesome doc!
Hi N.,
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I would like to suggest the OBGYNs at Valley Women for Women. They are located at 1501 N. Gilbert Rd, Suite 180 in Gilbert. The office phone number is ###-###-####. I work with them on a professional level and would highly recommend the doctors there. Good luck with your search!
I had my worst experience at Dr. Christine Brass-Jones' office. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment. Her office staff is not friendly and extremely unprofessional. They didn't bill my insurance ontime so I had to pay for my annual exam out of pocket. I could go on and on. I went there for 2 years and I will never set foot in that office again!
I go to Dr. Shelley Messer of Oasis OBGYN. Her number is 480-854-BORN. I like her because she is down to earth, professional, her office is clean, she is friendly, as is her staff and if you aren't scared away by Christianity, she is Christian and it is evident in her office and the music they play. I know at least six other women that go to her specifically, but there are two other doctors in the office as well. Their office is off of Brown and Recker.
I have been pleased with Dr. Lori Carrillo who delivers at Banner Desert Hospital (US 60 @Dobson). She has an office on the hospital campus. My daughter had a pleasant delivery experience at Banner Desert.

Hi N.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Dr. Christine Brass-Jones is a great OB/GYN. Her office is on Baseline and Country Club and she delivers at Banner Gateway on Higley and Baseline. Gateway has become a very 'women focused' hospital. They even have a beautiful million dollar garden just for the mom's to walk and labor in! Dr. Brass is very open to more natural options for birth along with all of your conventional options. Here is her info: www.trueharmonywellness.com & ###-###-####.
Best of Luck!

I was referred to goodman/partridge practice, they have offices in all three chandler, gilbert, and mesa. I was in my first pregnancy and they acted just as excited as i was, and that made me feel more comfortable! Also ive heard stories of people not healing properly, and a few of my friends had issues with their other doctors. I had a c-section, no complications, was checked on every day directly by my doctor, not a nurse, and i healed amazing, no infections like my friends who went to other obgyn's! They have been around a long time, and have a wonderful name here in arizona. The office close to power and 60 is at power and ray, so close to you!
I haven't used any OB's in this area, but my friend loves Dr. Eric Hazelrigg. I also wanted to let you know that this area has a great, great selection of homebirth midwives.
We also have a great Yahoo! group here in Arizona for the Arizona Birth Network that you can join and ask questions about local OB's, hospitals, etc., and get answers from tons of local birth professionals:

Cheers!
Ernesto Gomez is a wonderful doctor - he is popular, however, and I am not sure if he is taking any new patients. You can call his office: ###-###-####
