I'm looking for OB recommendations. I live in Alpharetta and work in Buckhead. I delivered my first son at Emory and at the time it was convenient because my office was downtown. Now it's not and my doctor also left. We're trying to get pregnant again and so I'm looking for recommendations for a female doctor that delivers at Northside.

thanks.

What can I do next?

I have the perfect Doctor, her name is Dr. Eliza Bruscato. She is the most amazing doctor ever. Very friendly and personable, and knowledgeable. She has been my doctor for 5 years now and delivered both of my girls (4 and 2 both "high risk") at Northside (she also helped me thru 3 miscarraiges). She isn't like other doctors in she is the only one in her practice, so you meet her, you see her EVERYTIME...AND, she is the one that delivers your baby, none of the moving thru the office to meet everyone, never really knowing any of them. She has 2 different offices and a very friendly staff. Her number is ###-###-####. But seriously, you dont have to take my word for it, I know you dont know me, call and find out for yourself.

I have been going to Ob/Gyn of Atlanta for years. They delivered my daughter 10 yrs ago (how time flies!). I saw a midwife, but ended up having a C-section. She (the mid-wife) stayed with me throughout my labor, and when it became apparant I needed a c-section, she stayed in the OR with me. They have 5 female doctors and 2 men (one of whom is great, the other I have never met). Although you might end up with who-ever is on call, the odds are good you'll get one of the women. I like several of the women MDs, but for my annual, I usually see a nurse-practioner; they have 2 great ones!

Their web site is: http://www.obgynofatlanta.com. They have 3 locations, including one across the street from Northside. The other 2 offices are east Cobb and John's Creek. I used to work in mid-town and it was a super quick trip (except rush hour) to their office on Johnson Ferry. That number is###-###-####.

Best of luck!

L.

Hi J.,
I love my OB--Roswell OBGYN at ###-###-####. They are located off of Old Milton Pkwy just next to 400 (11975 Morris Road, Suite 200 but you go to suite 100 to check in, Alpharetta, Ga) . I used the midwives to deliver my baby 3 months ago and had a wonderful experience. But there is also a female OB--Dr. Nix who is wonderful too. They deliver at Northside. Anyways, It's a great practice and very convenient to Alpharetta (which is where I live also). Hope this helps!

I second OBGYN of Atlanta. Dr. Wooten delivered my 1st baby and Dr Kirsten Franklin delivered my 2nd. Both were high-risk problematic pregnancies that resulted in 2 c-sections, 1 full-term and 1 pre-term. With my first pregnancy, they did seem to try to push a midwife on me, even though I was not comfortable with that option, given my GYN history. They try to cycle you through all the docs, just in case your particular one is not available when you go into labor. However, I was able to schedule the nearly daily appointments for stress tests and my induction with Dr Wooten, the doctor of my choice.

Dr. Franklin was on call when I went into the hospital with HELLP with my second, and she was wonderful. I was only 25 weeks, so she was as patient as she could be, given the emergent circumstances, and compassionate to my distress and general panic.

I did not particularly care for Dr. Fairbrother. She always seemed to have one foot out the door and I would have to stop her to ask my questions. I have not had the opportunity to see the 3rd female doctor in the practice.

I did have a friend who delivered with one of their midwives (Alice?) and she had a fantastic experience throughout the entire pregnancy and delivery.

Good luck!

I also used OBGYN of Atlanta and liked them a lot. I found them by chance but was very happy with them. I used the midwives and Emma was my favorite. She also happened to be on call when I went into labor and was able to stay with me the whole time. She was very supportive of my wish to not have an epidural and I think she did a great job. She went into the OR with me when I ended up having some trouble once the baby was out and they had to call in a doctor. (But that is another story!)I also like their ultrasound tech a lot.
I would recommend bypassing the Northside office since that is usually a mad house and going to the other locations. Good luck!
Oh, Dr.Fairbrother was the one in the OR and I didn't really care for her either.
