Has anyone checked a car seat curbside with a Sky Cap? I don't know if it matters which airline. But I seem to be getting conflicting information from our airline.
never never never never baggage check a carsesat - i am constantly saying what BeckyW is saying. either carry it onto the plane and use it(if your child is under 4, it is really FAR safe to use a car seat), or gate check it. damage is the major issue - but if your luggage is delayed or lost, you're stuck at the airport!
I have, not at O'Hare, but at Kansas City. It was easy and I didn't get charged for the car seat or pack-n-play. I don't remember the airline, Frontier I think?? I think it's easier to check it curbside if you can, it surely cuts down on all the schelpping!
I agree to check it at the gate. That is the way I've seen everyone do it. It takes a second and they give it right back to you after you exit the plane.You check your stroller the same way. Have a great trip!
I don't see why you will have any issues with checking your car seat curbside. I will suggest you take it in a travel bag - most sky cap services will also provide a thick plastic bag to cover it up as well.
I have also found airline helplines not providing any clear answer as they don't want to be liable in case the point of contact service provider does not do his job as expected.
