I'm looking for a on-line home schooling program for my daughter. She is 15 and we are debating on sending her back to HS. I need a program that she could get a high school diploma when completed not a GED. Thank you for your time.
There is also Connection Academy (www.connectionacademy.com). Some other schools that have school/home schedule are Coram Deo, and Wylie Prep Academy (WPA). They go to school two or three days a week and do "homework" the other two or three.
oak meadow is one that i love, and has an online option. clonlara is another excellent. there are many others i don't know of.
bear in mind that no online option replaces interaction with real live folks. if you are not going to homeschool her one-on-one, make sure she gets to co-ops or community college enrichment classes or something that gets her with other kids irl.
i didn't think i could do high school homeschooling, and both my boys are doing great in college. we didn't do that much online stuff, but there is SO much great material out there that i'm sure you can find something you both love.

You can do k12.com (txva.org in texas) or Connections Academy. They are both free and online. They send you all your books and materials free and you have an online teacher.

Check k12.com. They have a curriculum that you can do either as a homeschooling mother or some states, like mine (Georgia) actually offer online PUBLIC school using this k12.com curriculum. From my understanding, you actually have a teacher. The textbooks and other materials are shipped to your home and the pressure is off of you to do the actual teaching as your child will be assigned an instructor.
Look into Aventa/KC Distance Learning. I actually work for them in an editorial capacity, but as a former high school teacher, I am very impressed with their content and expectations.

In Texas a homeschool is considered a private school and, as such, you set the graduation requirements for a diploma. All Texas public colleges and universities are legally bound to treat a private school diploma the same as they would treat a diploma awarded by a public school.

My oldest would be "kindergarten age" this fall and we've always planned to homeschool our kids. My high school plans for them include dual credit at Tarrant County College for some classes that I can't offer (free for high school students) and I will require them to take the PSAT, SAT, and ACT when they're able to do so. Texas doesn't require any standardized testing, but colleges will look to those scores just like they do for any other applicant and I want the colleges to see my children's real aptitude and not just take my word for it.

Have you considered a local private school or a school/home school option. Teens really need to be socialized. (Lucas Christian does a part time school option)

Libery Christian school in Denton has a new online concept that just started this Year. I'm sure its cost is not cheap, but it is and ezcellent school. Texas Tech has an online school diploma program. My sister in law did that to finish her school. There are also lots of "part time schools around. Where you only go a few days a week. Coram Deo, Calavary Academy, Willowbend Academy. Good luck in finding the perfect fit for your family!
Texas Tech University High School has a wonderful program that our daughter used the last two years of high school. The on-line teachers were great.
