I am thinking of taking a cruise with my one year old. Are there any Cruise lines that have kids clubs that allow one year olds. It seems most start at two or three year olds.

Hi A.,

We took a disney cruise several years ago prior to having our own children. I must tell you it was the BEST vacation we've ever taken. They do have daycare and clubs for children 3 months up to 17 years old. We now have a three year old and a new baby due in June. We will be taking another disney cruise. The safety features alone on the ship give a parent peace of mind. They have separate decks for families vs adults only. We've taken other cruises but I would not recommend taking young children on them. Avoid carnival cruise line, more of a party ship(Drunken people wandering around all hours) and frankly the WORST cruise we've ever taken. Hope this helps.

Hi A.,

Try Global Travel International I know they do alot of cruise. Ask for Patricia Anne Bridges. Her phone number is 866-611-3018 or ###-###-#### (cell) website: www.patsparadisepleasures.com. She can at least help you find one or refer you to someone that can help you.

I don't have any advice but just wanted to say kudos for you for not letting having a child get in the way of having a life. Please ignore everything Karin said. If you avoided every situation for fear of something happening, you would become a recluse.

I took my son on a cruise when he was one with the grandparents, but there were no activities available for one year olds. The little day camps usually start at age 2.

taking a one year old on a family cruise is a blaringly
bad ideal. not only will they be crying constantly because
of an offset sleeping/ waking schedule but, they will put
everything in their mouth, bugs they find, bad food, polish
off the deck chairs, you name it. plus small children have the very bad combination of friendlyness and complete trust
in total strangers. all it would take is a second for some
friendly person to grap your child and be gone with the little tyke and on a cruise ship it would be almost too easy
