Hi, I am interested in any opinion(s) of either the St. James Lutheran School or Francis Xavier school? I would like to know if you have any likes/dislikes or any other recommendations to other Christian/Catholic schools?

I have heard some good things about the schools you have mentioned. You might want to check out Cambridge Christian School, it is excellent! Just always go and observe the school before you place your child there.

My 4 year old son goes to St James and loves it. This morning when i dropped him off he ran into the classroom and barely even said goodbye to me. I am very happy with his teacher and the progress he has made this year. Good luck.
I don't have any opinions on the schools you listed, but my daughter attends Daystar School in the South Loop. It is a Christian based school. We love it (as does she!) They have a great student to teacher ratio. They go on "Learning Excursions" quite often, using the city as a resource to teach the units the student is learning. They also have school wide worship two mornings each week. The kids also interact between grades, which has been great for our daughter. She loves interacting with the older kids, learning from them and teaching them what she has learned. We think it is a great school. They have open houses for prospective families quite often so you can see the school and talk to the teachers/staff. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I send my kids to St. Francis Xavier in La Grange. The preschool and kindergarten has excellent teachers who are very nurturing. The grade school has a good reputation. Also, for a Catholic school it has many resources. I hope this helps
