I want to switch to a line of organic cleaners. I know there are a lot of new ones out there. Are the ones sold in the stores as good as the online companies? Any suggestions or opinions welcome.
We use vinegar and water in a spray bottle (50/50 mix).
It's safe, non toxic, even edible! Oh...and it sanitizes and removes grease and stains.
Just google vinegar and there are several sites that tell you all the uses.

I really love the Method products, which are available at Target. I don't know if they're "organic" but they are non-toxic. I find them to be very effective. I use the dishwasher detergent tablets, the dish soap, hand soap, all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, wood polish and laundry detergent. They have cool packaging and a light fragrance that doesn't trigger my allergies like traditional cleaning products do.
The basics are the least expensive which are:
Baking soda
Vinegar
Lemon Juice
Tea Tree Oil
If you prefer to purchase at the store instead I would recommend Method Products, Seventh Generation and Mrs. Meyers.
I like the Mrs. Meyers stuff they have very calming scents.
Online companies rarely deliver truly eco friendly cleaners. Have you ever heard the term "green washing"? It's where companies claim to have safe, organic, eco friendly, natural, etc. products that are completely unlike anyone else's. GAG!
Have you ever heard of Bio Kleen? I buy their products online or at Whole Foods. Great stuff and no green washing practices! I use their bathroom cleaner, stain remover and laundry detergent. Their dish soap is great too.
Making your own cleaner is safe and very effective too! Jackie and Dad on Purpose gave you great suggestions!
I just learned a handy trick for cleaning my bathtub, showers and sinks. Cut a grapefruit in half and sprinkle it liberally with salt and then get scrubbing! My bathroom was absolutely spotless and it smelled fantastic!
I refuse to buy Method (see above green washing explanation), and I don't know that Mrs. Meyers is all that non toxic, but I LOVE the dryer sheets, hand soap and dish soap in the Sweet Basil scent.
Another GREAT company is Ecover. They really have a trustworthy product.

I don't use a lot of cleaners. I use microfiber cloths dampened with water to clean most things. They make special ones for glass that I use on mirrors, tv, windows. I have a steam mop with a detachable handheld steamer to clean floors, sink, stove, tile, etc. I use baking soda when I need something to scrub (like the bathtub)

I use E-cosway products, they sell their products on-line and in some cities they have opened stores. They are a friendly environmental company. I love it!
