My son slept in his pack and play till he could climb out at 22 months.
As long as she can fit and not climb she will be fine.
How long can you use the Pack and Play for? My 2 year old is about 33lbs and still sleeps in a crib. We have a need for a crib at Grandma's house for some weekend overnights and I don't want to buy another crib but I don't want her to sleep in a regular bed either. How long did you use the Pack and Play?

i wouldn't worry about weight - but height more than anything.
What about an air mattress that your parents could blow up?
We used ours until our dd was over 3, and only quit because she was too tall! She still loved it, but she had to curl into a ball to sleep in it.
I found the old-styled wooden portable crib on craigslist. Love it!
We used the pack and play until my son was about 2.5 or so.
As long as they fit length wise the pack and play is fine! Otherwise a twin sized air mattress would be a great option too since you can deflate it and take it anywhere.
My son started sleeping in a toddler size bed at his grandparents when he was very young, 14 months old. He did awesome with the bed and it was able to be put in their room so they could watch him. It worked out well for all parties involved. A mattress on the floor or air mattresses have worked out for sleep over at aunts and uncles.
I would be concerned if the two year old was a climber they would attempt to climb out of the pack n play. Try it at home for naptime and see how he reacts.
our youngest is 3 and 39lb we still use ours :)
Toddler mattress on the floor works great too.
