I was just wondering if cramping pain during pregnancy is something normal after a previous pregnancy in which i had a c-section. my baby is 13 1/2 months old and i am 20 weeks along with the new baby. this pregnancy has been good but just starting to have pains like cramping all day...could it be from my c-section...anyone who has had multiple pregnancies with c-sections and has advice...please give me some!
I think its normal after c/s myself. I had to have c/s with my first son and with my second who is now a year I had alot of cramping to the point of going in every few weeks to be checked out. He was fine but never moved hardly at all just like my first. If you get them to the point of getting scared then go get seen. It's better to ere on the side of caution then do nothing and something be going on.
E., first congratulations! I had 3 C-sections with my first being complicated. With my second pregnancy I had alot of sharp pains, mostly caused by scar tissue, but I did not have "cramping." As a nurse, I say you should call your doctor's nurse and try to get an appt immediately, if they have walk-in avail, then go. It doesn't hurt to take a look and make sure, believe me, the staff will understand. Just because you've had one child doesn't mean you know exactly what is going on. Hopefully it is nothing, and yes, some people have mild cramping with early pregnancy, but as the one lady stated, better to be cautious.
Have you spoke with your doctor? They might be able to give you an insight to what is happening. You could be having pain for many reasons, the c-section, pregancy too close to other one, and so on. So talk with doctor. Good luck with baby.

I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I just recently lost our twin boys at 19 weeks. I had been having braxton-hicks like contractions for about a week, and the day my water broke, they got worse. But I just gave credit to the fact that I was carrying twins, and I had just done a fall cleaning on our house that day. My hubby was after me to call my doc, but I was just being stubborn, as I have carried two previous pregnancies to term, and had healthy babies. I never once gave thought to the possibility that I might not carry the twins to term. I don't want to scare you, but I know now how important it is to contact your doctor if something just doesn't seem right. Hope all goes well with you and baby.

Boy it seems like we are in the same boat. My son is 14 1/2 mos and I am 19 wks along due 1st part of March. I also had a c-section and am noticing some pain too. (Especially today!) I sometimes notice it more when I go to stand or walk after being seated for a while at work, I am never seated for long at home! :) Hopefully this is totally normal.
