Where can I find a play group or class for my 4 month old son? My husband is also very hands on and I would prefer something that he could also attend. We are in the East Anaheim area in Orange County, CA

What can I do next?

In our area, the local library and the YMCA are excellent resources. There are also church groups (though usually they're more "mommy & me" than family-oriented).

Have a blast!

I would check out the national moms club. They have a website and you should be able to go online and enter your zip code to find a contact person for your area. They will be a planned group with a board, newsletters, playgroup, moms night out, babysitting co-op, and activities, story time, ect... as a moms club.

We joined Gymboree when my child was around that age and we all loved it.

Look at recreation classes offered through the city or cities near you. All of the catalogs are available online at each city's website.

Hey N.,
I am in in a group called OC Mommies. There are well over 200 moms in our group and there are lots of activities that the dads attend as well. Most of the group's activities are in South Orange County (Irvine and Aliso Viejo). If that's too far for you, you can always look on Facebook for Meet Up groups. There are lots to choose from.

Hi,
4 months is a great age to start gymboree or another type of gym class (My Gym, Little Gym)
Around 6-9 months is a great time to start music classes. We love Music Together (www.musictogether.com)

I also run a group called CityMommy. We have get togethers and a message board, opportunities to set up play dates, playgroups, and more. Everything is free. Check it out at http://oc.citymommy.com

Looking forward to getting to know you!
