Part Time Child Care In/near Oak Park

I will be going back to work part time (2 days per week) at the end of March, and my child care arrangement just fell through (and now I'm panicked!). I am looking for some type of child care for Mondays 9-5 and one other day per week (flexible) for my son who will be 13 wks old then. I am hoping for a sitter/nanny or some other type of small group/one-on-one care. Any ideas or referrals would be much appreciated.

Hi P.,
We used to live in Oak Park for 8 years before recently moving to Downers Grove. While we were in Oak Park (South East side), we had our two sons in a home-based daycare located a block from our home. Ana's Brite Kids is the name of the business, located at 1127 Lyman Ave, Oak Park, IL.
Phone: ###-###-####. They are very loving, especially with the babies. It isn't fancy, but we were happy with how well our kids did there. English isn't their first language, but they speak well enough to get by. Also, your children will definitely learn some Spanish. They daycare used to be run by Ana, but she sold the business to Marcella (I believe that Ana and Marcella are related). Marcella owns and lives in the home, and she is a very kind person. The name of the business may have changed as a result.

hi im M. i think i sent you a respond last night but not to sure, i am currently working for a family that i will find out this weekend if its going to work out. I have requested to watch her son from my home because i have two boys 21months and 5months and her house is to small. It sounds to me that she wants her son to stay home and thats going to be to hard on my oldest he's almost 2yrs and needs space and his toys. I love kids and the situation with my current mom is great (her hours are to long) i just don't think its going to work if she doesn't allow me to watch payton at my home. So i would be glad to talk with you and see what needs you have my boys are great and i think it would be great for your son and mine to start making friends. Please call me or email me ###-###-#### ____@____.com hope to talk with you soon

When I was looking into home daycares for my infant daughter a while back I really liked Annie Forde ###-###-####. I don't know if she has openings, but it wouldn't hurt to try. My 2 year old goes to Forest Park Montessori and the baby will be starting there too at the end of the month. They accept babies from 6 weeks up, so you might give them a try, but I think they only accept children for 3+ days a week.

Good luck!

Hi P.. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a pediatric nurse turned stay at home mom of a 6 week old baby boy. I am certified in infant and child CPR and first aid. I know how hard it is to find reliable, trusting, and affordable childcare-that is why I stopped working. I am looking to watch another child in addition to my own son. I can be flexible with hours since I do not have other obligations-other than my own little guy-who would need to come with me. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested. My e-mail is ____@____.com Take Care.
