I've also been looking for a peanut-free bakery because I'm a room parent for a peanut-free classroom, so I look forward to seeing all the responses.
Whole Foods sells baked goods and I believe cake mixes from Enjoy Life, which also has a website (www.enjoylifefoods.com) where you can order things. All of their stuff is all-allergens free.
There's also a recipe called Depression Cake that doesn't have eggs. Here's one version of it that I found by googling:
INGREDIENTS:
* 3 cups flour
* 2 cups sugar
* pinch salt
* 2 teaspoons baking soda
* 10 level tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
* 2 teaspoons vanilla
* 3/4 cup salad oil
* 2 tablespoons vinegar
* 2 cups cold water
PREPARATION:
Sift dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix with a large spoon until smooth. Spoon into a greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting.
Good luck! I'm sure the party will be great no matter what!
