Pediatric Cardiologist/Interventionalist/Surgeon Recommendations Needed

I would start with physicians at University of Florida. I can not recommend anyone in particular, but I am sure you can find a number of good doctors there. USF is a teaching hospital that has a medical school. Once you see someone at USF, ask that physician whom she/he would recommend for another second opinion. Your daugher is asymptomatic, so I would not rush into a surgery and get a few seconds opinions.
Did your present cardiologist explain why he was recommending an open heart surgery if your daughter is asymptomatic?

They are part of All Children's Hospital. They have other locations as well.

He has been cleared.

My son was born with a heart murmur that eventually required surgical repair. His surgery was done by Dr. Elsa Suh at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is with Pediatric Cardiology Associates, which is affiliated with All Children's. ###-###-####

She continues to see him annually for checkups, and I can't say enough about the staff at St. Joe's before, during, and following his surgery.

while i can't give you the name of a doctor; i can tell you that if you find one associated with All Children's Hosptial in Saint Petersburg, you will have the very best in the area.

All Children's takes almost all of the insurances in the area and the doctors visit the different clinics All Children's has around the Tampa Bay Area. You would have to go the Saint Pete for the surgery - but I can tell you from my personal experience as a patient for Cardiac surgery over 30 years ago - they are the best. My son sees their specialists for audiology, otolaryngology, and opthamology. I have no complaints at all with any of their doctors.
