Hi,

My 5 year old suffers from bronchitis/seasonal asthma. So far we have been able to keep his wheezing under control using natural remedies but for last month he is wheezing a lot. I have read lot of information on the internet about chiropractic benefit for bronchitis and asthma.

Can you recommend good chiropractor in or around troy-Detroit-MI area? How was your experience with the chiropractor? Have you seen beefits of chiropractic for asthma in your child/friends ?

P S: I am willing to travel around if he/she is really good chiropractor :)

So What Happened?

Thanks Dowunder and Bekka.

His wheezing is very much under control with vitamin c( till bowel tolerance) and honey. Milk is completely eliminated from his diet. I have been through the route of inhalers and steroids for him till last year. The recovery time with natural remedies( vitamin c , raw honey, cod liver oil) is almost same as allopathic treatment minuse the irritability, mood swings , esczima.

That's why I prefer natural methods. Even my son told me that he feels much better with natural remedies. I want to take his recovery one step further. That's why want to consult good chiropractor/naturopath around here. But I am little skeptical about going to anyone just based on internet reviews. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Good on you for taking the natural approach and yes chiropractic care will be a great thing to help alleviate asthma. My son has seasonal allergies and I will never start the snowball of relying on drugs to treat it, drugs that will need to increase or be switched and that have side effects. Masking the problem is not effective in the long run. All allergies start with an inbalance in the gut flora. Chiropractic care will help with that and obviously diet. If your son drinks conventional milk - stop! Not only is it nutritionally void its very mucus forming and will aggravate asthma. (Look into it: from what the cows eat, are injected with to produce more milk, antibiotics plus the fact that pasteurisation kills any vitamins and the vitamins they add back are synthetic) If you aren't already taking magnesium add that in powder form also. You may want to delay any further vaccinations just until you have it under better control. You are on the best track for the long term health of your son and a naturopath may even be able to reverse the asthma with diet. It's achievable, my son has only had a few mild allergy attacks this last season, all managed with homeopathics and by next season I plan to have no allergies! It takes time to undo damage to the gut flora but its a lot safer than popping a pill with extra side effects. Good luck

I do not know if you ever tried it, but I am going for my asthma to a salt room. I am doing it for about one year now, and I did not had an asthma attack in the last 5 months, so I am really happy.
