I need to pediatric dentist for my 4 yr old who accepts Medicaid. I have gotten several great responses, but can't find that any accept it. She is very afraid of the dentist because she has had a dental surgery to remove to teeth that she knocked & "killed". She has a set of faker front teeth & unfortunately has broken them twice, making 5 trips to the dentist where they had either place the teeth or fit for them!

What can I do next?

My son (5 yrs.) has PDD-NOS. He would not get near the dentist chair at our regular dentist's office. So we were referred to Dr. David Tang of Ashford Pediatric Dental Specialists. We have been seeing him for almost two years. My older daughter (10 yrs.)sees him as well. He is at Dairy Ashford and I10. He has been great with my son so far!No problems/anxiety at our last visit. Good luck!

Hi M.,
My husband, Dr Benjamin Po is a pediatric dentist in Katy and takes care of many special needs children as well as special needs adults in his practice. He was a general dentist for 12 years before he decided to specialize and has over 23 years of experience. His residency program had extensive training with special needs children. His practice is called Pediatric Dentist of Katy and is located at 2840 Commercial Center Blvd Suite 101 Phone ###-###-####. His website has more info about him: www.pediatricdentistofkaty.com Most of his patients are referred from other parents. Feel free to call the office to take a tour before you decide. Mondays are generally good to do that, as that is his community service day.

Hi M.,

I have the dentist for you. She is a dream come true. The dentist has a business called Kids Healthy Teeth. I cannot remember the address but it is on the same corner as CVS on the corner of Westheimer Parkway and Fry Road South. Her name is Sheryl Hunter Griffiths. Their phone number is ###-###-####. We have been to her and they are set up for children and see a lot of autistic ones. The rooms are very kid friendly and the staff are gently but do what needs doing. Their website is www.kidshealthyteeth.com . My typical child needed tons of work done and they did it under an anaesthetic. They were fast and did a great job.
Good luck,

W.

Hi M.
We have been using a pediatric dentist in Katy for about a year now for our 5 year old daughter. His name is Dr. Benjamin Po and we love him. My daughter is afraid of going to the dentist, but once she gets there, Dr. Po and his staff make her feel at ease, which I appreciate so very much. Here is his website with his information. I hope this helps.

Wow, Dr. Po was highly recommended on our Autism site. We recently had a dentist discussion that you can read about folks suggestions. Welcome to Katy. We are newbies here as well. sadly, our insurance dictates that we go to a specific dentist. He is good, the office staff, eh-so, so. Good luck. Email me if you have other questions or need some support!
