Pediatrician near Allen That Admits to Childrens or Medical City Childrens

We use Dr. Frank Martinez in Allen and LOVE him. I'm not sure if he has privileges at Childrens but know that he does at Medical Center Plano and it is a fantastic hospital. He came highly recommended to us from our Neonatologist in the NICU after our twins were born at 28 weeks too. He is an old fashioned doctor, but stays current on new practices and medicines and is not concerned like some doctors about growing his practice so large that he cant manage it himself.
He has nurses but does not have a Nurse Practitioner so every time you take your kiddos in or if you have him paged after hours you see or talk to him. When one of my girls was 9 mo. she got the Rotavirus and almost had to be hospitalized. We spent the whole day in his office so that he could come in every 30 minutes and check on her. He has also called us one night about 10 pm to check on us after we had been in earlier that day and has kept the office open at lunch to see us the day after my newborn baby boy was discharged from the hospital and his jaundice got worse. My daughter (now 3) had an mrsa pneumonia. We changed pediatricians several times. Currently we see Dr Laurie Berger at West Plano Pediatrics on Parker Rd

We use Dr. Menchaca at Pediatric Associates in McKinney. We also have twins that are 5 and one of ours had pneumonia 2 days after our son was born so my husband took an ambulance with our daughter to Medical City of Dallas and their pediatric ward was amazing! Dr. Menchaca highly recommended it and we love her. She even came to my hospital to check on me at 10 p.m. that night because I was in a different hospital recovering from a c-section with our son.

Since you are still in contact with your previous pediatrician, have you asked her for referals?

I used to go to Peciatric Place in Plano. I loved it there and hated changing DR's but my insurance changed to one they do not take. I am pretty sure they admit to Children's as this is where we were sent for MRI's.

I take my daughter to Monika Bhatia at Kiddie Docs off of McDermott in Allen. She is extremely nice and understanding. My daughter is 2 1/2 and she loves her-whicj is strange because she always hated the doctor, but Monika plays with her and she likes that!! Hope this helps!!:0)
