J.P. asks from Woodridge, IL

I asked this about a week ago, but apparently I need to be more specific. I am look for a new pediatrician near Woodridge/Bolingbrook, IL. Dupage or Cook County

I would like the doctor to remember my son's name.
Someone who is familiar with cloth diapering (we are dealing with some sort of rash and our current doc has not been a lot of help).
I have only delayed one shot so far for my 10 month old son, but would like a doctor who supports this decision.

These are just a few of the characteristics I am look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a few suggestions of Dupage Pediatrics and I don't think that's for us... Anything else out there?

We really like Hinsdale Pediatrics. It has several doctors to choose from - based on what you have mentioned, you would probably want to start with Dr. Brophy. (pronounced Brofee).

I am similar in my thinking to you and am so nit-picky it is ridiculous. Sorry I can't offer another office. I went with DuPage Pediatrics on Plainfield in Darien. Why? Because all the docs I've ever met with there (except for one - can't recall name - female Asian doc was just okay) was always, always, always respectful of my opinions. They never TOLD me what to do, but always, always gave me all sides of the thinking. I've asked to see ingredients in shots. No problem. Even done with friendliness. What I like best about DuPage? They never steer me in any direction. They are super respectful of intelligent parents who come in loaded with information. They listen; and provide their thoughts. YOU make the decision. They have fabulous hours. They have always responded to my calls quickly. Super patient. Dr. Gardner and Dr. Kelly are pediatricians to be highly respected. (Dr. Gardner helped my neice get thru luekemia. She is now 25.) So if you want the benefits/pros that come along with a western-thinking office but that is respectful of alternative or eastern thinking and willing to work with you on this. This is the place for you. My daughter is 6 and has been going there since she was 3 months. P.S. I've heard good things about Hinsdale Pediatrics, too. P.S.S. I have a masters in Child Development if that tells you anything.
